Easily the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. I work in retail so I deal with the public daily. Any time I call them they seem to act like they couldn’t care less and any mistake on their end is our fault. Had a $106 bill because they didn’t read my meter and they charged me extra to make up for the months my reading was inaccurate.

Never get bills, but surely do get disconnect notices. With 2 days to pay what a joke. Really love how they put "not responsible for delivery of mail" on their disconnect notices because they know they don't send out the bills a lot of the time. Moved into a new address and for 4 months straight every month we would not recieve a bill but would receive a disconnect notice. I started complaining to the office about it and wouldn't ya know we started receiving a bill. But oh no it was post office's fault. The few times I've been in office they've not been too friendly and it's been obvious that they don't want to be there or do anything to make your life any easier.

I have personally gone into the Corbin utilities office many times during the 4 years we have lived here. Each time, I have been well taken care of and had all of my issues addressed satisfactorily. The office staff has always been very cordial and helpful.

Last evening (Sunday) after dark and 12 degrees outside there was a loud hum, bang and the lights dimmed.
After looking outside to see if the house was on fire, I called the emergency service number. The man said he'd gotten another call and they'd get right on it.
Within minutes, City Utilities was outside with the Fire Department checking on a burned transformer (I think à transformer).
They were outside awhile, left for a few minutes, came back and got the repair done tout suite. It was starting to get kinda cold in the house so the heat was welcome.
I don't know how many people were affected but it looked like only a few homes were dark. Just want to thank the folks for coming out in the cold and dark on a Sunday...pretty much just for me and a neighbor.
Thank you.

You know I moved to Corbin about a year ago, and all I heard about this place was how rude they were and that they never work with anyone when it comes to there bill. Well I must say that is a lie. I had a disconnect notice and didn't get paid until the next day and when I called and talked to Tammy she said it would be ok, just be there before 4. They were all nice and helped me and my family. They could've said, oh well not our problem, shut it off and make me pay a reconnect fee. But they didn't. Really good understanding staff. I don't know if any of the higher ups sees these reviews, but if they do - you have a wonderful staff and I'm proud to have you all as my utility company.

So we just paid our electric for 131 bucks. Well our electric got shut off so after my wife calls and tells the problem they're like, well it takes 48 hrs for the online payment to process. Well I'll be damned if they didn't make us pay another 181 dollars the same morning equaling over 300 bucks. Don't recommend this place, if I was you I'd just plug a light bulb into a watermelon and listen to folklore music then give into this piece of a highway robbery.

If I could give this place no stars I would. They turned our water off today after 6 days of it being late. Never received a second notice or any kind of notice it was being turned off. $33.58 with late fees until you call to have it paid and turned back on. $83.58 total. $50.00 reconnect fee. More than the water bill to begin with. They aren’t the friendliest place either.

My payment was over due 8 days due to me missing work for quarantine, so they disconnected it. I was informed that it would not be reconnected unless I upgrade my service (which I obviously couldn't afford, I couldn't even pay the regular bill on time). When I contacted them to ask if they would turn it back on until we could upgrade it with our tax return like we had been planning on doing, because it is required to provide heat to my home and my wife and my children need it for school, I was informed they would NOT connect it unless it was upgraded, period.
