Just wanted to thank Ms. Lisa who filed my tax return which was not an easy one. She was very patient, listening to me during the time she was filing my tax return while I was sitting in front of her desk. I chose her become she was an IRS Enrolled Agent who was updated with tax rules and regulations. In addition, I do prefer to file TR in person instead of remove and she offered the service just the way I like. Excellent job!

I have been a Townsend Tax customer since 1988, primarily at the Gwinnett location, but at the Smyrna location the last three. I had excellent service prior to this year. The deplorable service I received this year has prompted me, after 35 years to find another tax preparer. This year my taxes were a complete and total disaster. There has been zero communication from my tax preparer. Her name was Lisa Blackburn. After repeated complaints I have had empty apologies from the receptionist and office manager, as I am sure I will receive a similar response to this review. I am still waiting on an apology from Rita. I am not holding my breath, but I will find someone else other than Townsend Tax to prepare my taxes and I advise you to do the same.

Our taxes were complicated for 2022. The most complicating factor was that we converted a primary residence to a rental unit about halfway through the year. After spending 7 hours with TurboTax, I remembered seeing a mailer from Townsend. My wife and I scheduled an appointment with Lisa and didn’t look back. Lisa figured out how to properly allocate personal and business expenses within her software for our home-turned-rental property, and we are receiving sizable federal and state refunds. High-value service!

First off I give High Stars due to my past experience with Townsend. I went to them back in 1997 when I moved from New York to Georgia. They filed my taxes several years in a row. All I can remember is how efficient and professional that they were when handling my financial business. It's now 2019 and I went through every piece of paperwork to get their proper name and vowed to write a review. I ran into some financial difficulties over the years and I know that Townsend can get me back on track. Oh yes! I will be contacting them again because that's just how confident I am about this business. So glad I FOUND you AGAIN!!!

Townsend Income Tax & Accounting has flawlessly handled all of my personal and business accounting needs. A few years ago, I lived minutes from Townsend's Smyrna location. I now travel 45 plus minutes, from south of the city, to the Smyrna location because of the top notch service provided to me by Ms. Blackburn and the Townsend staff. The proof is in the pudding. A company doesn’t serve a community as long as Townsend has without serving honestly, ethically, and knowledgeably.

I called them around the end date for return filing and got an appointment for the next day. Lisa was very helpful in getting done for me what I went in for. She was very professional and quick in getting my returns filed in the best manner. I also needed an ITIN for my spouse which she took care of. For the quality of service I received, I would surely rate this firm 5 stars and recommend for anyone around Smyrna, looking for a tax agent.
