Mr. Tomlinson prepared a Will for me after I became aware of a health issue. He explained all the potential complications and my options clearly and professionally. This was not the first time I had dealings with Mr. Tomlinson and in all cases, he was professional and guided me to the best solution. As part of working on my Will, he even identified an issue with my deed and was able to correct this issue timely. I will not hesitate to use his services as needed going forward. They will force a paid consultation on you from the get-go without even considering the details provided.

I was looking for a civil litigation attorney who can represent the tenant as the Plaintiff for a case against the landlord who has committed contract fraud through forgery.

All previous law firms I've contacted knew right off the bat whether this is something they can or can't take on. Some reasons for why a specific law firm denied our case includes but are not limited to the fact that they only represent landlords, they don't take on litigations, they don't take on civil court cases, they practice something entirely different, etc...

The fact that this law firm will force a paid consultation just to determine if they take on cases of this type is pretty shameless and predatory.

You want me to come in for a 20-minute consultation and after paying $300 hear that you don't handle civil litigations or that you don't represent tenants or some other comical response?

When I brought this argument up against the front desk lady that answered the phone, she, not even being an attorney, determined of her own accord that they can't take this case and hung up on me.

When my brother passed away leaving no will I was at a loss of what to do and how to go about it in the best way. I asked for an appointment to just come in and talk. It was set up and I went in. I was treated with respect and they were so kind to give me some much needed directions. They advised me I could do it on my own but, there were there if I needed them. It did not take long for me to make up my mind that I really needed to hire them to help me through this process of dealing with a house, vehicles, debts, etc.. I made another appointment and went in to explain I was not willing to take on the handling of this estate on my own because I wanted to make sure I handled it in the correct way. The staff gave me advice on every thing I was concerned with. I will not say it was a easy task but with their help it sure made it as easy as possible. They helped me through each and every step. They were always there each and every time I needed them. I want to give a shout out to Shannon McCart! I know I drove her batty at times but she was so kind and so helpful every time I needed her. Thanks to the entire group for everything you did to make my life easier with the handling of this estate!

I was not able to experience John E Tomlinson's services because I was fired as a client a month after reaching out. After sending a retainer (overnight) and all requested documentation to Ms. Shannon McCart, I never received verification of receipt of the retainer before leaving for the holidays, nor did I ever receive information on the next steps of my case or progress of the effort without asking for it first. Even after progress was promised twice Ms. McCart never followed up with me as promised. When I was told no progress was made because Mr. Tomlinson had to be out of the office without notice, I asked if that was going to be a problem. Without any explanation Ms. Mc Cart simply said "Fine. I will send you your retainer and documents back." Needless to say I was shocked, and while I can understand workload being a driver (hence my question if I would need to go elsewhere) I did not understand the attitude I continued to get from Ms. McCart each time I spoke to her. I can only assume it was due to workload, but I recommend finding other law services unless you have priority in the queue with Mr. Tomlinson himself.
