When I walked into Taylor Law Group I sat down with Clarence and told him what was happening to me. I wasn’t seeing my children. My children want didn’t want to see me; they said they hated me. My son was 10 and my daughter was 14 at the time. All of a sudden my children said they were scared of me, and they knew things about me they had no business knowing! I was living a nightmare to say the least! I’ve always been an involved mother and giving up my children was not something I was going to do.

When I sat down with Clarence he knew immediately what was happening. He read off a list of things that I had to answer yes or no too. After hearing my answers, he explained what was happening; Parent Alienation. I felt validated, understood, and I knew in my heart that he could help me see my children. He did just that!

After a long process and many court appearances, we got the court to see what was happening. There was a change in the parenting plan and I got primary custody of both my children. Clarence always kept me informed every step of the way. He was prepared, always on time, always professional, and he kept in good communication with the guardian at Litem that was involved in my case. Dealing with a narcissist was not easy for me. I was baited and I would fall for it. He helped me recognize this so I could respond better. Clarence was not only a lawyer to me, he was a friend. I grew to admire his discernment and his wisdom. His advice will last last me a lifetime in coparenting with such a person. He continues to be a phone call away.

It's Good to see some have had better outcomes than myself. Cases are like fingerprints, no two are identical. So, take Your time and interview representation. Get extremely clear about what's reasonable and the outcome You desire. Do not pay without being able to afford losing said payment.

Unfortunately I received materially less than I paid for, and stopped getting responses upon proposing we part ways.

A champion trial attorney with a sharp no nonsense approach! Clarence and his team are masters of their trade and single handily diffused a complex and contentious modification of child custody case for my family. This matter was 99.9% headed towards litigation before The Taylor Law Group entered as counsel. Less than 6 months after hiring this firm and during a statewide judicial emergency we were victorious in resolving this matter at mediation. 5 stars!

Jeremy Jamal Abernathy seems to be exceptionally knowledgeable. I expect that he would be very good, given the right set of circumstances. Unfortunately, mine weren't the right set of circumstances.

He assured me that he would accomplish the only thing I was looking for when being sued for a divorce modification. However, shortly before our first and original scheduled hearing, he needed more money to continue his representation and was not going to be able to accomplish what he had originally claimed. I was unable to pay any further fees, so he withdrew from my case 3 business days before the hearing. He had all the facts of the case beforehand, yet apparently under-quoted me to the point that he couldn't even make it to the first and original court date.

I understand it's business, but if I would have known that $2500 would only net the filing of an answer and counterclaim, I surely would have hired different representation.

Other important notes of my experience with Jeremy Jamal Abernathy include being unable to reach him by phone, or receive a call back, regardless of time or day that I called. I did finally receive a return call, but only after complaining and asking for Clarence O. Taylor IV, the owner of The Taylor Law Group, to call me regarding the representation that I was receiving from his firm. It has been over three weeks since I made that request and I still have not heard from Clarence O. Taylor IV. Jeremy Jamal Abernathy seemed only available through e-mail, which would be perfectly acceptable, in my opinion, if the availability spanned more than an hour or two, on only Thursday or Friday. I don't see a good reason that simple questions can't be answered or simple updates given, any day of the week during normal business hours. A thirty-second reply shouldn't take days to send, but that was often how long it took. I tried to excuse his unavailability by expecting that he had numerous other clients and cases of higher importance, but I was incorrect. In fact, mine was the only open case he had.

Further problems with Jeremy Jamal Abernathy:
He communicated information to the opposing attorney despite my denial of his request to do so.
He told me he had filed papers that he actually hadn't... but did follow through after I asked him about them specifically.
Numerous times, he told me he had sent messages to the other attorney, or was waiting on a response from the other attorney, when the other attorney hadn't received anything from him. This was confirmed by the dates on the messages that he forwarded to me after he did finally send the material.

In closing, I do not expect that any amount of money can buy perfection. I did expect that a retainer, personally quoted after hearing all the facts of a case, would procure representation through the original hearing at the least, given a lack of changes to said case, as in this instance. Unfortunately, in my experience with Jeremy Jamal Abernathy, my expectations were too high.
