I am so sorry there are such negative reviews listed on the Public Defender's office. This wan't my experience at all. We were fortunate and had J. Ross Hamrick which I found to be the most professional and caring lawyer possible. Unfortunately we lost Ross due to a situation beyond control and was redirected to the Public Defender's Conflict office. I cannot give that office a good review, I just hope all the lawyers there are not as bad as the one I have dealt with.

I would NOT recommend using any of the public "defenders" from this office! They do not care about their clients and cater to the district attorney, and they do not fight for their clients at all. If you are able, hire a REAL attorney or lawyer to defend you, because you'll get no help or sympathy from ANY public "defender" in the Rome public defenders office.

I got a suspended lisence charge in rome and decided to take it to trial because I didn't receive notice about the suspension and it was my first in 8 years. Thought I would be ok with the public deffender but I was wrong. Had the public non defender mr spizer which was unbeleivable. I highly doubt that he will make it to be an actual attorney. He did absolutely nothing for me. He was such a submissive. And the judge mr sparks was...wow...I'm pretty sure he had a bad young adult hood and got picked on and bullied and had no friends and likes to get back at the ones who go in front of him. I literally felt like it was a personal matter with me while I was in court. I will have my probation transferred and I will never go to Rome again. And if this ever does happen to me again I will be prepared and pay for me an attorney.

Ralph bunker has got to be the most retarded lawyer in all of Floyd county if he ever represents you I advised run for the hills or higher the local bum on the corner you will and also I believe he's being paid by the de because he damn sure works with them and don't give a damn about clients he is too old fat and slow from making oats his whole life to do his job

Only giving this office a two star rating because the DA was very lenient on my husband case an he only got a few months on his charge .. The Public Defender by the name of Sean Lowe is not a good lawyer he completely screwed up my husband case an did not defend him whatsoever an caused him to get unnecessary time that we are currently trying to fight an come with money that impossible for a human to get in there life .. If you are in need of a good public defender do not get Sean Lowe you will regret it !!!
