IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME USING GRIFFIN CENTER FOR UTILITY SERVICE. GOOGLE THEM ONLINE FIRST. TO MAKE SURE YOU BRING IN THE PROPER PAPERWORK WITH YOU. SO YOU DONT HAVE TO COME BACK. IF ITS YOUR FIRST TIME RECEIVING UTILITY SERVICE YOU NEED CASH 💵 TO SIGN UP FOR SERVICE. NORMALLY AROUND $300 OR SO FOR A RESIDENCE. I DONT KNOW ABOUT COMMERICAL PROPERTY THOUGH. IF ITS ANY MONEY LEFT OVER TRY TO PUT AS A CREDIT ON THE BILL. IF YOU NEED AN ATM MACHINE ITS ONE RIGHT OUTSIDE. JUST GO THRU THE OTHER DOUBLE DOORS STRAIGHT AHEAD BY THE OFFICERS DESK. IF THIS IS NOT YOUR FIRST TIME SIGNING UP TRY TO BRING THE BILL WITH YOU EACH TIME. REGARDLESS IF ITS AN OLD OR NEW BILL. YOUR ONLY USING FOR THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION IF YOUR PAYING FOR YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE. IT JUST MAKES IT FASTER, AND EASIER TO FIND THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION. WHETHER INSIDE, DRIVE THRU TELLER, OR OUTSIDE BILL KIOSK. IF YOUR GOING INSIDE YOU MUST HAVE CASH 💵 TO PAY YOUR BILL. UNLESS YOU ALREADY HAVE A CREDIT CARD ON FILE ALREADY. IF YOU USE THE DRIVE THRU TELLER YOU MUST PROVIDE AN ID OR DRIVERS LICENSE WHEN YOU PULL UP TO THE WINDOW. IT MUST REFLECT THE SAME ADDRESS AS THE BILL TO PUT IN THE PULL OUT WINDOW. WHETHER YOU HAVE THE BILL OR NOT. OTHERWISE, YOU HAVE TO PARK AND GO INSIDE TO PAY. WHEN I USE THE BILL KIOSK I NORMALLY PARK ACROSS FROM IT IN THE PARKING SPACES, AND WALK UP TO THE MACHINE. THOUGH YOU CAN DRIVE THRU IT IF YOU LIKE. I USE THE BILL TO SCAN THE BAR CODE ON THE BILL AND FOLLOW THE PROMPTS. YOU CAN USE THE BILL KIOSK 24/7 UNLESS SOMETHING MAYBE WRONG WITH IT. ****REMEMBER, YOU DONT EVER HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BILL COME OUT MONTHLY TO PAY ON IT AS WELL.**** ALL OF THIS IS STRICTLY MYYYY OWN PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, AND OPINION. So far I have made 3 visits to the City of Griffin customer service department. Each time I have received polite friendly service and experienced less red tape than most governmental agencies I have dealt with over the years. This may not be everyone's experience but all.of my interactions have been pleasant ones.

I went there to visit the tag office, to register my new vehicle, and it was quick and easy. Quite unusual for a government office. Plus, they were very friendly.
