The Stollaway Retreat is magical. I first visited this property two years ago with my childhood friends for a girls weekend getaway. Four women and we each had a private bedroom en-suite (which was clutch for our leisurely mornings and winding down after enjoying the sites around town). Most were walkable.

This time, I brought my toddler to St. Simon’s and enjoyed a “mommy and me” holiday at the Stollaway Retreat. It was magical. My daughter enjoyed the warmed pool most of all and I felt secure with a pool on the property because there is a baby gate on the property that was super easy to install on the back patio. The gate allowed me to feel safe knowing my curious and active little girls couldn’t access the pool without me.

There is also a pool house/guesthouse, where we found beach toys and beach chairs. This was clutch for enjoying the lovely quiet beach located 5 mins from the house. My daughter kept calling the property “our beach house” which warmed my heart because she was so comfortable there.

Lighthouse, as the property manager, were friendly and super responsive to any needs we had (which were few because the house is so well stocked!)

Can’t wait to return to St. Simon’s Island and there’s no place I’d rather stay than this lovely property.

The Blue Crab Cottage was amazing. We loved how close it was to everything on St. Simon island, but also very close to Brunswick. It was incredibly clean and felt very luxurious. We slept the best we had in months thanks to the amazing master bedroom which also included a private porch with fireplace and a large full bathroom with stand apart shower and claw bathtub. Everything was incredibly well maintained and it just had a very welcoming atmosphere. We would gladly stay here again! Thank you for a wonderful experience! Also they responded very quickly to any and all questions we had. Very much appreciate the excellent communication!

Harbour Oaks, Unit 214 provided a phenomenal stay for our Christmas vacation! The unit is so comfortable for a group of 6 and is fully stocked with everything you need, making it feel like a home away from home! The location is perfect to walk downtown, to restaurants and bars, and to the beach! It was clean upon checkin and decorated beautifully. The beds were comfortable. I can not say enough good things about this stay and our rental pick! 10/10 - will be revisiting!!

We stayed at Ava Mae last week and loved the beautiful home, the large private pool and the privacy. There was everything we needed in the house. The house was very clean and well maintained. It was a short drive to the village and to beaches. We would definitely stay in Ava Mae again and use Lighthouse Vacations again.

We love St Simon's Island and try to visit as much as possible. Whether a weekend get away or long vacation, Lighthouse Vacations makes our stay perfect. Everything is ready when we arrive and all the conveniences that we could possibly want or need are waiting on us in our beautiful condo. Customer service is 5 Star!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will return again and again! The rooms were very spacious, kitchen was stocked with all we could've needed, extra beach towels were super helpful and the kids could enjoy the heated pool even in October. The entire home was exactly as pictured and so very clean. Additionally, Lighthouse was very communicative leading up to our stay so we got updates a few days before our arrival and then on the day of our arrival. Highly recommend!

Disappointed to say the least. Through Lighthouse, we rented a 6 bedroom home on the south end of the island near town. About a month before we were due to arrive, I discovered that Lighthouse would no longer be having this property after end of the year. After hearing this I expressed my concern and asked if conditions and property would be up to par. I was assured it would be and they had it rented out the rest of the year. Well...that was misleading to say the least. I let a few things go at first...then after slipping in the upstairs bathroom because of a leaking sink (which was obviously known because I found a towel and pot to catch water under the sink) plus a grill I was assured worked I was put over the edge. I reached out and was told that maintenance would be coming. Guess what we still had 4 days left there and still no maintenance crew arrived. Here's a few more to add to the list...several missing smoke detectors, front porch off living - stone work collapsing in several spot and they used furniture in those places so no one would step in the areas and get hurt, hair dryer that looked so sketchy and old - did not dare to use, bedroom lights that need bulbs changed, and having to empty a pot under a sink every couple of days...for what we paid to rent this property...was not okay at all. On the opposite side...the location of property on water's shore, grounds, & pool were wonderful. I have rented large homes through the country and outside the country...this by far was disappointing for what they charged to what the conditions of the house were.

Clean. Elevator was broken. Sent repairman 2 days into our stay-they had to shut it down for safety reasons. 4 stories with no elevator and it was one of the requirements in my search. Lightbulbs out. Garage door battery out. Nice place and great location but attention to details was missed.
