BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE!!! The following statements are of my opinion after 30 years in business and plenty of experience on these matters. Find another arbitor!!!!!!! This one does not hold himself to the same standards at which he judges and passes judgment of others. He was used for ARBITRATION for my business. I agree with others who submitted reviews who claim his primary focus is on things other than the facts. I was found at fault to a degree but not entirely. His ruling was that i was at fault for not providing itemization of charges on my invoice, despite me listing 3 items on the invoice with the price total of items listed. I noticed when i received his bill for his services, i was only supplied vague descriptions about emails etc. No itemization of who the emails were to or any details. Business professionals should avoid this attorney in my opinion if they are looking for a reasonable fee and fair outcome in my opinion. I am not upset at all about the ruling as i was only ordered to pay 1/3 of what the person asked for, the unsettling part is that he does not practice what he preaches in my opinion.

Joe Manuel has served my family over the past three years beginning as the personal attorney of my brother-in-law, then as Estate Attorney following my brother-in-law’s death and our personal attorney during resolution of property issues also resulting from my brother-in-law’s death.

I have consulted with two other attorneys in the past and neither worked as closely with me nor been as available as Joe. His principal strengths are his understanding of complex family issues as well as his ability to sort out complex business relationships. Once he understands the issues, he uses this understanding to reach for resolution. Joe strives to resolve problems, not merely respond to them.

Joe understands the finesse of negotiation and does not hesitate to drive toward remedy and closure. Sometimes that means he needs to calibrate me. Joe does not compromise his personal values to serve the misguided goals of a client.

Joe’s availability has been a cornerstone of our relationship. If I call Joe, Joe answers or returns calls the same day. Joe returns emails within a day. He consistently provides updates of pending actions in a timely manner; I never felt over the past three years that I needed to find him for a status.

Joe is impressive in the court room. He is a polished presenter and provides accurate summaries of complex issues for court record. His court room style is courteous to the judge as well as to opposing counsel without sacrificing the thrust of any argument or theory of the position he supports.

Finally, Joe’s authorship of motions and briefs are clear, concise, and demonstrate undeniable truth.

This guy only cares about making his money. The first thing I said when he answered the phone is that I had a question and he immediately shut me down and told me that I’m not paying him for his time yet so he basically wasn’t going to waste it on me. I obviously didn’t want him as a lawyer anymore after that. I know lawyers are supposed to be jerks or whatever but come on. No one wants to confide in you if you you can’t be the least bit respectful.

Horrible horrible mediator! Not impartial at all. Doesn't care about the facts of the case or whose live's he destroys. He uses bullying and intimidation to get a a mediation outcome. As a supposedly impartial mediator he got in my face, swore at me, told me I should be on medication, and claimed the judge wasn't going to do anything about my complaints (the mom had illegally moved out of state and kidnapped my child for 13 days but guess the court doesn't care about that kind of thing). Other attorneys have said they will never go into mediation with joe Manuel as the mediator. Based on his misuse of the judicial system and disregard for the laws that govern our country, I would not recommend this jackass as an attorney either!!!!
He and others like him are turning our judicial system into a joke!!!!
