My experience with the Atlanta Legal Society has been nothing short of disappointing and frustrating. From the very beginning, it was evident that their purported mission to provide legal assistance to those in need is severely lacking.

Upon my initial attempt to contact their facilities, my calls were inexplicably blocked without any explanation. Undeterred, I decided to attend their free pro-bono clinic in hopes of finding some semblance of assistance. However, my encounter at the clinic only served to exacerbate my frustrations.

To my dismay, I was met by the former teacher of the incompetent conservator responsible for mishandling my mother's financial affairs. Not only was this a blatant conflict of interest, but the individual proceeded to fabricate claims, asserting that someone from their office had contacted us on April 9th. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the integrity of the organization.

Furthermore, my interactions with the Atlanta Legal Society have been characterized by a disturbing pattern of stonewalling and evasion. Rather than providing meaningful assistance, they seem intent on shuffling individuals like myself through a never-ending maze of bureaucracy, all in the hopes that we will eventually give up our pursuit of legal help.

I have tirelessly searched for lawyers to take on my family's case, only to be met with a litany of excuses and rejections. It is abundantly clear that the Atlanta Legal Society falls far short of fulfilling its purported mission, and their inability to provide competent and effective legal representation is nothing short of a disgrace.

In conclusion, my experience with the Atlanta Legal Society has been nothing short of a joke. Their incompetence, dishonesty, and lack of genuine concern for those in need are glaringly evident. I would strongly advise anyone seeking legal assistance to look elsewhere, as this organization has proven itself to be wholly unfit for the task at hand.

My ex wife applied for aid an was granted it. I didn’t feel it was necessary for me to have one, at the time it was out of my price range. Her lawyer was very courteous, professional, understanding and quick. After finally getting me to sign the necessary documents for our divorce. Everything worked out both parties walked away satisfied with no cost. The ex filed and we’re both good!

I went in person there on a Tuesday to ask some questions since they do not answer their telephone ever. A short hair lady answered the door and promptly started yelling at me that I should not be there but instead I should’ve called. She was EXTREMELY rude. I am a very calm person so calmly I told her, lady, calm down, you don’t need to be impolite with me. And she said very angry; I’m going to close the door, make a call. I DO NOT recommend this place to nobody!! Get ready to be super humiliated & mistreat when you call or come to this Legal Aid.

Average.. But I saw an old male worker doing absolutely nothing, trying to hide from customers, killing time until closing.
Since it's the only one in the area, residents have no choice but to shop here, unless they want to drive to Lawrenceville, where there are two. Unfortunate for Winder/Barrow folks.

I did a consultation with Legal aid and my claim was assigned to an attorney. During my consultation, I disclosed a vast number of complaints against a major rental company in Atlanta and other parts of the United States. Immediately the intake staff stated that this particular rental company has countless complaints and runs the business like a scam. When I finally got a chance to speak with the assigned attorney 2 weeks later, it was a complete nightmare. The interaction with the female attorney was so bad that I believe if I had a conversation with a brick wall, I 'd receive a better feedback. The attorney appeared to sound of Asian decent and had a very heavy accent. Not only I let her know that I had a hard time understanding her, she continued to talk over me with run-on- sentences. This attorney was clearly not listening to my valid concerns as she proceeded. to complain that it wasn't her job to file documents and or make sure paperworks available when she's going over a case. Attorney (Ryu) stated she was an "ATTORNEY" as if I didn't already get the memo. While I respect her determination to earn that title, however she came off very arrogant and definitely not a humble person. Overall, attorney (Hee Y. Ryu) did not make me feel like she wanted to assit and or sympathised with the case at hand. She also rushed me off the phone, statting she needed to take another call. Furthermore, she shot down my claim that I believe is valid and basicly told me that tenants won't win against these companies even when wrong and the courts will not see it in my favor. While I do believe her on that part, I do want to say "LEGAL AID" is NOT there to help the disadvantage, the poor, or anything that they don't see huge wins in. I called the office supervisor to file a complaint and ask for a different attorney who speaks english and it's been over 2 weeks and the supervisor she has yet to acknowledge or return my call. If this agency is receiving anytype of funding and or kickback, you better believe that their best interest is not of people of low income and unfavorable population.

The attorney I was assigned to listened and was very attentive. I felt heard and understood. She went over the processes and the possible outcomes. I came out of my situation with the absolute best resolution for my case.
