I called last week to make 2 consultation appointments 1 for my husband and 1 for my parents. My husband’s consultation was quick and easy. I thought we would hire them for my husband’s case so I decided to move forward with a consultation for my parents. I called on 02/26/25 to schedule the consultation for my parents for 03/04/25 at 1pm. At 12:12pm on 03/04/25 I received a text saying this consultation would not be free because I already had a consultation. I never had a consultation I only called to schedule and I explained this to the receptionist. I was going to attend the consultation for my parents to translate ONLY. I never spoke in my husband’s consultation and never brought up my parents in the previous consultation either. I decided to call to explain this to Valentina and she said this had to be a misunderstanding and she would check with the attorney and i believe the other receptionist. She then comes back on the line and says it’s not free because it’s for a T Visa. At this point we are not sure if my parents qualify for this we wanted to know all available options. I asked why I wasn’t informed about this previously and Valentina said they tried to contact me yesterday. I did pick up the call but I was only asked to confirm my scheduled consultation and nothing else. Now I am not sure if the actual reason is because my family already had a consultation and this another one although it’s for a separate case. If T Visa consultations aren’t free shouldn’t the receptionists know this to let us know prior to scheduling? And if I said I wanted to know all available options why is the consultation labeled as T Visa when I said I had other paperwork to show the attorney? Now I am waiting for the refund. I prefer looking for a firm that tells me the fees upfront and not minutes before a scheduled meeting. To confirm, I would’ve paid the consultation had they told me this the day I called to schedule and if they weren’t contradicting via text and phone.
