If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. I've tried calling, emailing and now I'm going to try writing (for all the good that's going to do for me). I have a complaint and I cannot get any answers as to how to file it; where to file it or anything else. Why would anyone hire an attorney or work with the Bar Association in San Antonio. You'd be better off going to another city in Texas to obtain some help. Very disappointed in my adopted city.

I called and got a referral may 9th. The lawyer never called back and as told if the lawyer doesn't respond in 24 hrs. give the SABA a call back. I waited a week and every time I called I got voicemail. Left my call back info. and never received a call back. This happened 3 times. I called back today, was on hold for 20 mins (kudos for actually getting a live person) just to get the wrong number for the attorney. I called back to get the right number, on hold of course and got hung up on. This place is beyond terrible and extremely unprofessional.

Useless organization. Fill out the paperwork anytime you want to file a request for a fee dispute with the lawyer, but the only hearing is in August. Bonus: success depends on your lawyer voluntarily agreeing to participate in the process. There is no legal way to force them, not through any legal process in the state of Texas. You can Go to small claims court, if it’s within a two years from of time of payment, that’s not guaranteed success either.

They never answer calls or return messages. Better off using their site or calling main office in Austin.

Was referred to them by numerous lawyers for legal aid and pro Bono work. Was told each time they are only providing lawyers to veterans and only will services to civilians. The lawyers I have talked to said they are not supposed to be discriminate but help everyone. Just be prepared to not see much assistance.

Called for referral to a specific type of attorney, received message that mailbox is full and then line disconnected. Seriously? How many messages does it take to fill up the voicemail box? Wow.
