They closed my case while my case was ongoing, when I visited their office in the court with simple self help questions such as serving guidelines, they wouldnt even answer because they “closed my case “.
It seemed odd.
They seemed to be helpful at one point, but then became so cold and useless and just closed my case with no logical explanation, as it was ongoing.

I’m not sure what lead them to act this way with me, but I hope that they learn to deal with people as humans, and not treat them so coldly as I was treated. I can vouch for one person there, attorney Ward, the rest of the people there, cold, classless, and disgusting.

Nicole and Eric were a breath of fresh air!Nicole (super accommodating) saw me and heard my story and immediately got Eric. Eric was attentive and informative. Nicole & Eric were like a dynamic duo in the way they effectively & efficiently assisted me that same day/same hour whatever aid they were able to render. Going to the office is definitely a leg up because everyone would want assistance especially from these two.

They helped me when I lived in a shelter. I'm not wealthy now, but now I get no help at all. I give credit for the good times, but I am still very much in need. I'm a disabled senior, but apparently, the only help I will receive is dying.

I am now 71 and disabled. As I am seeing, I am facing overt hostility and harassment from the DC government, but I am facing it all alone. I am making plans to relocate outside the District to escape the menacing acts that I am enduring here. Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow, and I may not live to write the account of what I have endured here, but I can be sure that I will get no help at all in ending the attacks made on me.

Ms. Hollingsworth, Anacostia Office assisted me in getting information from the Social Security Administration Retirement, Survivors and Disability Insurance. Her being an Attorney, intimidated
SSA because she is an Attorney and received information about me that they wouldn't release to me. Three Times. Now, I will definitely win my case.

They are good only for housing, living in an apartment. They are not a good legal service, if you have a personal injury they can't help you. If you need some help with employment tthey can't help, if you are
an older citizen living in the DC area, they
can't provide service at all! Why are they
a legal service? I would' not refer them them to anyone.

Staff attorney Thomas Papson is a remarkably qualified steward of the law. His client's, from all walks of life, are beyond lucky to have the ability to draw on his decades of legal expertise. Now in his second career, working for the Legal Aid Society, Mr. Papson continues to exemplify the creed of his alma mater - Law is but the means — Justice is the end. Having accidentally taken an adversarial position against Mr. Papson, I myself was deeply impressed with his dedication to his clients.
