Was a client, I was referred to as a “nut job” Very unprofessional/unethical in a firm that claims to specialize in such a sensitive area as family law. If you look at a previous Google review, this attorney’s response to her client s Google review includes more name calling, this attorney calls her client RUDE and REPUGNANT in a response to a negative Google review from a B. Gardner. How childiish and unprofessional. This is how they feel about their clients. Average representation, not aggressive in fighting for my side, expensive with minimal effort and little to no success. The lawyer I hired was rarely available, on the most important day of my case I had not heard from her in weeks, another less skilled attorney took over, which I believe made the difference in the outcome, he was less skilled in court. I had to email the reasons for my side, even though I had verbally communicated them, and sent via email weeks ago , I had to make the legal argument for my side during the last hearing, there were many missed opportunities on cross examination during testimony at my case hearing which the less skilled attorney ignored. They claim to bill monthly, they do not, they bill when they feel like it and demand payment the DAY they feel like sending you a bill, with no option for online payment. I paid them of course but the only time I heard from my attorney who did not come to my last hearing herself was an email for immediate payment So she had time for that but not my case?Would not use again and do not recommend. They talk your case up big during the consultation, then it goes downhill after that.

I retained Kristi for my custody and divorce case. I must say it was the worse experience. I hired Kristi a week or two before my case. She informed me that she was not going to be available and will send a letter to the courts. When I arrived to court they did not have a letter from my her and luckily I had a hard copy. As time progressed, the response time was unacceptable. I did not know what was going on with my case but was receiving invoices every week. It was really sad how my case was handled. I was advised to talk to my ex-wife by Kristi because she was concerned with the GAL report (which I later found out that was not a good practice from another attorney). In addition the opposing counsel was trying to resolve the case prior to the court date but did not receive a response from Kristi. I later saw all the attempts by the opposing counsel when I hired another attorney. Right before the court date, I was scheduled to meet with Kristi on two different occasions via phone but never received a call. I called the paralegal and she was surprised that I didn’t hear from Kristi. She was confused as to why Kristi didn’t call. The office tried to cover up the lack of communication by stating she was busy with another case. I had to request for another counsel a week before my actual custody case. This was the worse experience. I would not recommend this attorney for anyone looking for a good family law attorney. When I asked around about her the number one response was “she is about money, be careful “.

I highly recommend Wooten Law Group! Ken and Kristi are both wonderful attorneys. I’ve been with this firm for a few years. I’m thankful for them both as well as Lacy. They are smart, ethical and full of compassion for their clients. They pay attention to full detail. I could not imagine going through my situation without this team. Having Ken on my side during court today was a blessing. He went above and beyond for me and my child. I can’t give this firm enough stars. They are top notch for sure. They are the best in Hampton Roads!

I retained and used Kristi Wooten for my divorce and am glad I did. The divorce was very complicated and contentious, taking several years to conclude. Kristi and her paralegal were very good and won every court battle (total of three). The final hearing Kristi showed what a perfect lawyer and litigator she is. From the moment my boyfriend and I called into Wooten Law Group to wrapping up his cases with Jordan Fanney, we couldn't have been happier. Jordan Fanney showed all patience with us, became available at the last minute to represent a 2nd case, had what it took to let us walk out of court with exactly what we wanted.
