I literally got a ticket, didn’t receive ticket till months later. Showed up to court and paid the fines. Now here we are months later they are saying they have not received payment and suspended my license. Costing me to pay twice and have to reinstate my license due to their corrupt system. Please make sure you keep ticket receipt, they will say it’s no record of payment. County is desperate for money

I have been dealing with a traffic ticket since 2023. I had a court date scheduled for 12/03/24. I live almost 4 hours away to get there, and the court was canceled due to an employees death on the day of. It's annoying but also understandable. I got a letter that day that clearly states an offer would be made, I could accept it and, if denied, then scheduled for court. I got a letter YESTERDAY with a court date for tomorrow. I called, and no courtesy recommendation or rescheduling options were offered or honored as the last letter stated. This court needs to do SO MUCH better with 1. Scheduling dates and notices further in advance,as well as 2. Courtesy rescheduling options as life happens and people do have jobs. ESPECIALLY because I showed up, and it was canceled on their end, AND the letter stated something else. It isn't fair to waste people's time as well as lie as no offer or recommendation was offered. I have the original ticket and all documents and will appear now and take this all the way to the end and waste everyone's time when they really just want the money. Employees are rude and have no customer service skills, even when you are nice! Do better!!!

UPDATE: Went to court on 02/03/25 plead not guilty and waiting on my trial date but today 02/15/2025 I just got a failure to appear letter?! How?!?! When I drove almost 4 hours and was there? Smdh! Our justice system needs to do soo much better and somebody needs to investigate this court and how they operate. Its not fair and honestly doesn't seem legal!!

How does someone have a ticket and a failure to appear from 2009 and have never had an issue with their driver's license in their home state? I called trying to get information, and the young lady was no help. Now I have paid nearly $500 in fines and still cannot change the address on my valid Florida license because Georgia hasn't cleared me. I asked if they could email or fax the documents and was told the only options were to pick them up in person or mail them to me. I called DDS back and they said they are supposed to fax the clearance form to them but Turner State Court refused to do it.

Speeding tickets are INSANE in this county. 100% my fault so can’t be too mad at them, it’s a lesson learned that’s for sure. Georgia don’t play baby! If you call, they will knock off the super speeder ticket which literally had me in tears. Was going 92/70- ticket was 596 + an additional $200 super speeder ticket in the mail. Called in, the woman took off the super speeder for me which I was beyond grateful for. A really hard lesson to learn, but not a mistake I’ll make twice.

As a 21 year old and living in FL, out of all my years of driving I just recently got my first 2 speeding tickets in GA on I-75 in a span of 2 weeks apart. First ticket was $275 and this second one in this redneck county. The cop had given me a citation later after I paid my first ticket, I looked up the ticket and it was $700 f-ing dollars…I understand I was going 94 on a 70 but good God!!! I was following the speed of traffic and out of all the cars he picked me in my sisters Audi and me with a FL license plate clearly. On top of it, to hand me the citation/ ticket, he had me get out of my car on the side of the interstate which was extremely scary and dangerous. No wonder this county office has awful reviews. I sure as hell will be taking this to court and if I have to go drive 3 hours I will because I work hard for the money I earn and I’m an independent. No 21 year old has $700 to just yank out of their butt. Screw this county and the people that work at the office. I was waiting for over an hour for someone to answer the phone and finally hung up. I will be putting a dash cam on next time I’m up driving in that county and I advise you to as well.

My name is Paul tobert. I was a refugee welcome to the state of Georgia cause. I was on a heart transplant and I got a ticket for going 90 and a 70 mile an hour zone which I would have to change my I. V. The next exit would have been 30 miles and I had to have my I. V. So I spoke to miss miss Mary Lee green. And the other 2 people in our office a year. Since 2018 I spoke to their office today. And I got disrespected I cannot leave from within 2 hours from Tampa general hospital because I'm on a heart transplant. Least they have no heart, no compassion I asked for a video court. I asked for documents so I can play guilty and pay and get it over. Wit'll do it, but it just seems that they take great pride in joy. And stop me from getting my license in Florida. I have go twice a week to Tampa. I have to get app 3 hours early before a medical transport and then ride 2 hours to Tampa general hospital and after the 2 hours. I'm on in a doctor's office for hour and I have to ride wait 3 hours for transportation and pick me up. It's my whole day. I wish there was a video court there because the Mary Lee green and the people in her offthey should have more compassion. I only want to pay my ticket. I can't risk my life standing in a courtroom. Just to pay a misdemeanor fine. They won't even take my money. They won't even give me a mouth.
I hope somebody in the state of Georgia can help me
