I’ve been trying to upgrade my discharge with them since 2019 it’s 2023 and just last month Dee Wallace just informed me that my upgrade application was never submitted/received by the discharge upgrade unit with the military to even look over my claim. I complained and then got Christie Bhageloe and she is the truth. I got assigned lawyers and we submitted my claim in no time. I got an upgrade from OTH to HONORABLE thanks to the hard work of my volunteer lawyers and Mrs. Christie. I would recommend Veteran Consortium pro bono to any veteran in need. Never Give up

This is a VERY unprofessional and disrespectful organization.

I was connected with an employment lawyer who specializes in employment yet my issue had nothing to do with employment. I needed to consult with a real estate lawyer who specializes in housing issues.

Eden the employment lawyer gave me information / insight I already knew and had. She kept stating obvious points as though I sleazy did not know.

She stated “ I took a course in real estate /housing law.”

Eden indicated that she would provide me with vetted and relevant resources related to my housing inquiry. Yet she did not despite leaving two voice messages and sending an email.

Take away this organization’s grant funding source as they are absolutely not doing anything meaningful to truly help veterans with their legal issues. Worthless..

You have to be a perfect candidate for them to help you. So therefore, if you’re someone who actually would need assistance with your discharge look elsewhere.

This organization us absolutely worthless! I waited over a year for them to tell me i "dont fit the criteria" how so? Im a veteran with an OTH discharge diagnosed with ptsd by the VA by the Army and by multiple Civilian sources and i dont "fit the criteria. I sent them multiple documebts from doctors stating that my behavior was due to my ptsd and still woukdnt take my case. This organization is made to help veterans like me in my EXACT situation and they dont. Dont waste your time on this worthless organization. Because u wont fit the "criteria". What a joke

This organization is an absolute joke!! Do not even waste your time!! Yes they advise as free help but they are not any help what so ever. They advertise as free assistants with discharge upgrades but they will not help you. They advertise assistants with victims of mst and ptsd but they will not help you. I met the requirements. I was disnosed by a doctor and an mst coordinator at the va hospital of having mst ptsd and mdd. I have been seeking mst and ptsd treatment from the va hospital
They say that they have to get your military records and it takes 4 to 6 months. Then after no communication 4 months later I get a missed call with no voice Mail. Then I get an email saying to call them about my case. I call them and the first thing she ask me was for my address. Then she says we can not help you.

Fellow Veterans.... I wish there was a way for me to not check a single star. I cannot even believe what just happened as I reached out to these people for help. As with most things if it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is. They would not even listen to me, let alone provide a consultation. The paralegal (I am assuming that is what she is, she was not a lawyer) just tried to send me to other Veteran assistance programs. Pro Bono? I am assuming those words just make them look like they actually care about the Veterans. I am 100% service connected and fighting my PTSD daily amongst other injuries, so to actually reach out for help was not easy and against my better judgement I reached out to them.... she shot me down immediately before I even could ask a question! Trust me, save yourself the grief and go elsewhere. How sad that we have given so much and the biggest fight we will face is trying to get help for ourselves and our families in the same country we defended. These people clearly have no shame and certainly no compassion. I am a medic and have deployed six times and have never been as shocked as I am at this moment.

I want to I take this opportunity to thank The Veterans Consortium Discharge Upgrade Program staff members and my attorney!! They all have worked so hard and diligently on my case. I was treated with genuine concern and respect. Everything was handled in a most professional expedient manner!!

TVC is great at what they do! I recommend all veterans who are appealing to the US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims look into their services.
