It started with our intake person Aaron and quickly moved to getting assigned an attorney, Michael Levinsohn who is well qualified to handle restraining order cases. It was great to know his years of experience and being bilingual.

We hired the Nieves Law Firm based on our research and many days/weeks looking for a Law Firm that would be willing to help with my father's case. Beware! This firm more focused on collecting fees than representing clients. We hired The Nieves Law Firm to represent a friend. They were meticulous at getting paid in advance, but failed to send a lawyer to the arraignment -- two times in a row~! So my friend fired them. Even though they didn't show up they refused to refund our payments.

I can't recommend Christie Fram enough! She helped us with a civil harassment restraining order case, and her expertise and experience truly stood out. Christie knows the law inside and out, and she understands the burden of proof required to succeed. What really impressed me, though, is how well she knows the judges who preside over these cases. Her insight into how each judge tends to rule gave us a clear understanding of our chances, which made a huge difference.

Instead of just fighting it out in court, Christie guided us toward a mediated agreement that worked out even better than we expected. We got everything we wanted, with only the small concession of not being able to communicate with someone I don’t even want to interact with anyway. Ultimately, we traded the potential of a 3-year civil harassment restraining order for a mediated agreement that has no expiration date and will protect my children forever. Ms. Nieves represented me in family court against a contempt filing. She came in as my public defender so I was unsure of what to expect from her. I also had not had the privilege of meeting with her prior to the date of the court hearing. Upon meeting Ms. Nieves she displayed great professionalism, knowledge, and interest in helping me get my case dismissed. She communicated effectively how we would move forward and when my case was heard she did jot hesitate to execute her request for a demurrer.

Even though she was not hired to take on the rest of my family court matters she offered to special appear for me on this date and was able to support me with getting me concerns heard. The case was eventually thrown out and I was not held in contempt. I appreciate the thoroughness Ms. Nieves offered.

Ms. Nieves continued to receive correspondence regarding my family case from the court. (The other parent kept filing documents.) Whenever she received informations she reached out to me and offered the support she could. In particular Ms. Nieves does not do family court and because the criminal nature of my case had been resolved she was able to give me some direction and refer my case to one of her peers (Ms. Norah Alyami who also was phenomenal!!!)

I am beyond grateful for Ms. Nieves' expertise and recommend her services.
