I read about the Lawfare Project on the news and contacted them after I have been denied a faculty position at a university because I am Jewish.
After my first email did not get answered, I contacted them again and Benjamin Ryberg told me to tell him my story. So I did, in much detail. Then, nothing happened for 4 days until he got back to me asking me questions about my case which were already answered. But I was happy to give him the answers again, and also included documents to prove my case.
Then, he ghosted me. Nothing for a week until I wrote him that since I didn't hear back I assume he does not want to take on my case. - No response.
So I wrote again telling that he please delete my personal details. Again nothing for some days until he told me in an email that we haven't established any attorney client relationship and he doesn't have to do anything. But he would consider taking on the case and if Im fine will forward it to a lawyer abroad.
I then, desperately as I was, gave him another chance and told him that he already has these information since 2 weeks now and that we lost value able time and need to proceed now.
The answer to that was:
"The Lawfare Project will not be able to take on your case. We wish you the best going forward." That's it. No explanation.
So, I found online the name and contact details of a member of their board of directors, and contacted him. - No response.
I also contacted Brooke, the director of the Project, asking to at least delete my personal data. - No response!!
I can only strongly encourage anybody not to give them any personal information and NOT to contact them! I do not see how they seriously are what they pretend to be.
