I currently have an issue with my landlord concerning a mice infestation. SALA has been a great help! Meredith has walked me through the proper legal procedures, has gone far and beyond with the resources she has provided and has been available for a lot of follow up questions that I’ve had. Navigating the legal world is intimidating but having the support of SALA has made it so much easier.

Hi. 22/12/24

I am newly disabled, and had been on section 8 the previous year(surgery, recovery) and I'm not sure but I think I have been dropped by them- now seeking legal assistance to get down to what's up.

My initial call was very supportive and agreed to move my case to the next step.

I got a call from Meredith and I had explained my issues and she she said she wanted to see my rental history from my manager and any other papers that would support any litigation.

She stated I would be meeting her out front to shake her hand and collect my documents. She kind of breezed the the covid stuff .

Meredith would not make an in office sit down appointment with me. Lol

I'm not conducting my legal issues in front nor will I give my financials to a stranger without both parties have a legal schedule to follow and informed of the process all this would entail.

So staff get current on all your vaccines, brush up on industry standards and actually conduct yourselves as a legitimate business that helps people in need.

Lol...... I'm supposed to go there tomorrow.NOT

I've reached out to a firm that helps the disabled in disadvantaged circumstances.

Please brush up on the professionalism

I keep forgetting it's income based. So if you need legal help be sure your combined family income (CFI) is Broke. And even then it may be difficult to qualify. So you may have to be either Beyond Broke or Dirt Poor. The point is if you need legal help regardless of income you're not going to get it here. And any other resources they provide have you questioning whether or not you do have a legal issue.

Very unprofessional!!! by the time I finally got through the lady just kept talking and would not let me explain my situation . she kept going on about different situations by the time I was able to get in two words then she finally stopped and said that my situation was different than what she had been explaining.
If she would have given me 2 minutes to explain and if she would have listened to what I was needing help with instead of wanting to talk the whole time maybe she could’ve been more helpful and informative.
Overall Not very happy with the service especially when we’re not able to come in . And then having to call consistently and repeatedly because you get hung up on after 15 minutes! It’s very unprofessional and seems like they’re doing that on purpose because no one wants to help the less fortunate
Just my opinion
I would have given one star, but she did at least give me some information that I was able to work with and was able to figure it out on my own. But that wasn’t the help I was expecting

Service is NOT very helpful on a personal level. No one in the office but one other consumer. The very disconnected greeter says to call and make an appt. Don't know why she couldn't make an appt. No one else in the building but two of us. It must have been close to lunch time, seriously.

Specialization to make an appt? That's just LAZY...aka 'quiet quitting'. The info I found on the web was exactly the same. Seems like there's either no lawyers to help or there is a HUGE disconnect.

On the phone several other times... no one picked up. Who is getting funded for this nonsense non service?
