SDS was the right move. Saved lots of $$ by keeping my divorce out of the legal arena (altho admittedly each of us paid a small amount for a one-time legal consultation) and miraculously kept my soon to be former spouse away from each other's necks. Nancy was uniquely skilled to see my long term interests (dissolution) were met while understanding my spouses short-term financial concerns in the forefront. The fact that my former spouse and I maintain good relations after signing the final papers is a testimony to Nancy's role as a "fair referee" throughout the process which took far too long - but not because shortcoming w/ Nancy. I really appreciated her focus on the endgame.

Nancy did a wonderful helping me mediate through a divorce. She was able to come up with an fair division that saved thousands of dollars if we gone a more traditional route of attorney. She did have an attorney complete the divorce. Since then I have used her for financial advice and only been pleased.

I was very hopeful, and felt that I was getting good advice at first. But one year later, turns out I got the worst advice ever and I would never go through this process ever again. Very costly and pretty much the worst decision I think I have ever made. I do not recommend collaborative divorce if you are dealing with a narcissist. I got very bad advice and felt pushed in to sign documents that I did not agree with. I would never recommend. I feel that my counsel that I hired wanted to close the case and not go to litigation. Very bad decision for me.

This started out as a helpful service in February 2023 and went downhill fast. Missing emails, contradictions in recommendations, and a number of meetings spend going over topics already discussed in previous meetings felt like constant delays. Two different referrals fell flat, one for a home loan lender that was a waste, and one for a home appraisal which just felt like a loss after having to pay for a second one to get a different amount at the end anyway. Flat rate pricing is great but time ran over several times (thankfully wasn't charged) Lack of attention to detail here was a major concern. Better than the alternative but overall not a great experience.
