I Hired Greg to represent me as my attorney for a Child custody case possibly the worst decision I've made. Worst lawyer you can possibly hire here in Cache Valley I paid him thousands of dollars took more then a year guaranteed me 50/50 and when court came he absolutely didnt do or say anything to what he said he was going do. I fired on the spot, he took my time and my hard working money please do not hire him he will lie and steal your money. Very greedy person!

Buyer BEWARE!
Unprofessional, will Waste your valuable time with nonsense, inarticulate, lacks the basic concepts between a civil matter from an eviction process, procrastinator, waits til actual due date of a filing response to commence starting the document- then call you into his office while he “works” on doc, most of which you will be doing…see ^ unprofessional. Disengaged with his clients’ needs and requests. Opportunist, he will bill for work he never did, he is Quick to send a statement yet non responsive to calls, emails or text.
Do yourself a favor, you already have “issues “. Do NOT allow Greg Skablund to become one of them!

I used Mr. Skabelund's services in 2016 and was actually very pleased with his assistance in court. I needed assistance again and emailed his office on April 10, then again on the 11th with an update. Another more direct email was sent on the 29th. Despite these three emails and at least 2 phone messages left, I did not hear back from him until May 16, after I had retained another attorney to attend to this more recent matter. As review- I did not hear from his office for OVER A MONTH after my initial attempt to contact someone in his office. Because of the service he provided 6 years ago, I am not giving this law office one star. But the last two months absolutely does not deserve more.

Walked into the office just minutes before closing time, with no appointment. He made time to sit down with me and answer questions I had about an issue that's been bothering me in the legal system. I would definitely put him on retainer to represent me in the future; if the need arises.

In my experience and opinion, mr. Skabelund was disconnected with the facts on my case even after taking notes which I’m betting were not ever read again. During a meditation, mr. Skabelund fell asleep in his chair on several occasions within 4 hours. When it came to trial, mr. Skabelund was more than willing to negotiate a “back room” negotiation without my approval to the finality of what was agreed to. To top it off, mr. Skabelund was to prepare the final order. After 3 tries there was finally an order well worded and very descriptive. An objection was made and opposing counsel also prepared a proposed order and a hearing was set. In this hearing I then learned that there were transcripts and an audio recording of the “back room” negotiations and mr. Skabelund was forced to agree with opposing counsels order. Why on earth would anyone prepare such a document contrary to transcripts and recordings and expect someone to pay for incompetence? I still received a bill for all of this. NOT HAPPENING on my dime. If asked, I would give anyone my opinion to save your hard earned money for someone competent if there is such a thing with attorneys.

The folks here are wonderful! Not only do they know their legal business and are very ethical, they are compassionate and very helpful. These sorts of things I don't necessarily think come together often in a legal team! I recommend Mr. Skabelund to ANYONE

When I went in to take him some pay stubs, I mentioned that I was filing a complaint against him with the Utah State Bar association for unethical practices and he immediately jumped up at me, screaming to get out of his office. I was afraid he was going to hit me. He is completely unprofessional and unpredictable.
