I don’t enjoy leaving reviews like this, but if it keeps someone else from having a bad experience and so be it. This place it truly is a joke when it comes to mental health help. Not to mention, the organization is terrible on the administrative side and the office space as a whole is trashy and dirty and smelly. The counselor says to reach out if you find yourself in a crisis situation but when you do try to reach out, you can’t get a hold of anybody. I was accused of missing an appointment, when I called the week before we were going to miss an appointment and left a voicemail to tell them because I couldn’t get a hold of a real person. They claim they never got the voicemail and therefore cancelled her future appointments without ever having the decency to call me and tell me. When I expressed my frustration (and for the record, my tone was frustrated but I never raised my voice, called names, cursed, threatened, etc), the receptionist told me to stop being aggressive. Honestly, she just couldn’t handle a frustrated parent who was well within reasonable limits. This all happened after the counselor cancelled our appointments for 2 weeks in a row, one being an hour before our appointment! Very double standard. The fact that they think I’m being aggressive is almost laughable- I don’t think anyone who knows me would say I am EVER an aggressive person. But yes, I can get frustrated when my child needs consistent help and this is the place we had committed to and we’re not getting. Alas, we have found a place that is clean, friendly, consistent, high quality and it is NOT Serenity Counseling.

I have been going to this place for a good while and have been satisfied every time. Lacey at the front desk does an excellent job in keeping everything organized. Not only is Dr Witherington thorough, efficient and friendly, he’s the absolute best! I have no complaints about Serenity Counseling.

The reception lady (Melissa) is very friendly. Dr. Parker has been in the business a long time. He is faith based which is very important to me. My husband missed an appointment. He was having a hard time went to the office and Dr. Parker helped calm him down. He showed my husband that he cares about his patients. God sent us to this place. I am thankful for Dr.Parker

The absolute worst experience I have had. When entering the building no one was there. After several minutes a man with a cain came by and said where is she? And kept walking several more minutes passed. The reception came out dressed in ratty workout clothes gave us paperwork and left. Mean while a white poodle dog comes out to the lobby and roams around. The service and facility was unprofessional. The break room we were taken into for a telehealth appointment that were we not told about had urine on the walls. The person we saw was typing more then actually speaking with us. This was a horrible experience. I would not recommend this facility to anyone.

Don't waste your time! I called them a week ago because we desperately need help. They took some of my information and assured me that they would call me back sameday to finish. I never received a call and tried multiple times the next day but no one answered. The day after I called multiple times and they finally answered but said they are leaving early that day, they apologized for never calling me back but assured they had our paper still and would call back the next day. I never received any calls and have called back many more times only to go to voice-mail. Their mailbox has been full so there is no way to leave a message. What a waste of time and hope!

I was in the middle of a mental health crisis of my own recently and reached out to this place twice. During regular business hours. And twice my call was not answered. And twice my call was not even returned. Not very professional when you chose mental health as your career.
