Mr. Hagy was recommended to me through a family friend after my daughter and I left a very domestic violent situation. For the entire 10 months of our case, he stayed two steps ahead and went above and beyond to ensure the final ruling of our case went in my favor. Ultimately, I successfully won my case and was granted full custody of my daughter along with child support. I was in a very bad place after leaving the relationship, and extremely fearful of what could/would have happened to my daughter and Mr. Hagy made sure to help and provide wonderful service to ensure her safety was met 100%. I can’t recommend him enough. Very kind, helpful, and sees his cases through to hopefully ensure a win. Thank you so much again!!

Mr Hagy was nice and courteous on the first meeting. However, a month later he had done nothing on my case and stopped returning my calls (seems to be a pattern with Cville lawyers). I got my retainer refunded and filed my paperwork on my own with success. Given that most clients looking for his service are already bruised by maladaptive behaviors, communication gulfs, and divorce, I cannot recommend him.

Mr. Hagy and his staff were thoughtful and highly professional throughout my entire separation process. Rob provided excellent advice regarding divorce in Virginia. I feel he went above and beyond communicating the status of my case. I was impressed how he considered multiple options and how he provided wise advice regarding my future activities. Mr. Hagy has been my attorney for many years now. I've had previous attorneys before who were adequate, but none were as professional as he is. It's always a plus to have a professional get it right the first time, especially for something so costly and emotional such as custody and divorce. I couldn't agree more with the last 2 reviews. Zero stars. Courteous and appeared to be "on your side" at first meeting. However, later did nothing, stopped returning my calls and texts and emails...until threatened with reporting him to the bar. Zero results, bad advice and no communication that cost me tens of thousands and still wants to charge you exorbitant fees and hours. Stay away from him.
