I typically am not one to leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience and applaud the service that I received from the Rice Law Firm.

I came to Nick Rice with a divorce case that had been ongoing since 2016. I was in a bad place and felt that I had nowhere to turn for help, a temporary support order where I paid 70% of my monthly net pay and two mediation sessions that went nowhere except accumulating more attorney expenses while piling on more debt. I had previously retained two other attorneys in whom I invested thousands upon thousands of dollars in services and had minimal movement toward the divorce being resolved. Even with the existing orders in place and the uphill challenges I was bringing to Nick, he accepted my case without hesitation. From the initial consultation, he was straightforward, laid the foundation for a plan of action, and set realistic expectations. I finally felt that I had a representation that had not only my best interest at the forefront but the interest and well-being of my kids.

From Day 1, the ENTIRE office staff were professional, responsive, patient, and great listeners. I had the privilege of Mary Clark as the junior attorney on the case. Day in and day out, she went the extra mile to ensure the case was progressing, keep me well-informed of changes, filing, and the subsequent action plan. Mary was very knowledgeable, receptive, and accessible and treated me with dignity and respect. Nick is the consummate professional with a no-nonsense approach who provided me with valuable counsel based on the parameters of the law balanced with a realistic compassionate approach. His candid ability to establish a rapport with the opposing party and their counsel enhanced the open dialogue while pushing the opposing party for a resolution. Nick and Mary were always thoroughly prepared for depositions, hearings, motion filings, or client updates. They were prepared to take the case to trial or resolve it with a settlement. They always planned and sought to accomplish the objective with the most cost-effective approach.

In summary, I could not have asked for a better team to represent me and close out a divorce case when two other attorneys couldn’t accomplish it. The bottom-line up front in what I learned, is that you receive the representation you pay for. If you go into a divorce or child custody case looking for the least expensive route, take it from me that in the end, you will end up paying more than you would if you had followed your instinct and hired the Rice Law Firm from the start. My long-drawn-out case could have been easily avoided, saving money if I had called Nice Rice from the beginning. Legal representation can be costly, but remember there is a reason that you are reading reviews on law firm websites. Nick, Mary, Andrea, and the entire Rice team are the right ones to put your trust in and lean on as they get you through the challenging times in life. They did it for me, and I will forever be grateful! I will not hesitate to call them again if the need arises!
