Regina M. Banis, LLC

In 2013 Ms. Banis took my family court case as a public defender assigned to me. If she got monetary gain for it wasnt much. At that time in my life, I needed any and all the help I could get and the state gave me her. After meeting with me personally and over the phone several times, she came up with a plan and lead me on a 16 month court battle that ended with me having FULL custody of my two children. I owe Ms. Banis a debt of gratitude. If it wasnt for her, there would be no telling what would have happened to my kids. But because of her hard work, compassion, and empathy, my kids are living their best life. Both are in the Gifted & Talented program for their academic abilities. One is also in G&T music while the other was invited to join the Beta Club and is now the vice president. Not to mention all the after school activities not school related that they participate in. They are my greatest joy. NONE of this would have been possible if it wasnt for the work Ms. Banis did for us. She went above and beyond and the fruits of her labor are still to be unknown but thus far it has been better than I could have dreamed in 2013. I highly recommend Ms. Banis and Thank You for everything you did for us.

Similar to another recent review, Regina was EXTREMELY bias in her reports against me. Absolutely did not seek what was ultimately best for the CHILDREN. I'm honestly not sure what she had even accomplished for the my children other than billing me for thousands of wasted dollars. She was very chummy with my ex during our final court hearing too, it just screamed of overall bias If you have the option, DO NOT go with Regina if you can avoid her "services"

We have been using Regina and her office for over 17 years. She is knowledgeable, efficient, kind and personable. Her office staff are also INCREDIBLE - they have great communication and follow through. Such a nice feeling to be so well taken care of. We have done many closings with this office and highly recommend Regina and her team to everyone we know! They are the best!!

Regina represented me in my custody case and I could not be happier with the result. She was very easy to talk to and empathetic to my situation. I followed her recommendations/advice without hesitation and believe that is why I had such a favorable outcome. I highly recommend her and appreciate the hard work she put into my case.

My low rating isn’t because my real estate transaction wasn’t handled properly, but because throughout the process - which took a couple of months - we never saw our lawyer. All of my contact was with paralegals. However, when you’re paying for legal representation - in what could be the biggest asset you have- it would be nice to shake a hand and see the face of your lawyer. Frankly, never even heard her voice as all conversations over the telephone were with paralegals. The paralegals handled my situation, but they’re not lawyers. Today we had to use the service again to place our home in our Trust. No paralegals this time. Instead we got the “assistant “ to the paralegal who herself is an assistant to the attorney. Getting my drift here? If you ask a question, as we did, you will be told “that’s the way we always do it “. Amazing.

This law firm located in old town Bluffton is great. Regina is an excellent attorney and gives you all the time in the world..and her superb staff especially her paralegal are always on top of everything and every detail. Their family law work is second to none.

We contacted Ms. Banis' office for a real estate transaction we would not be present for. Over the course of a month we dealt with Ms. Emily Keller and Ms. Misti Pinckney, Paralegals in the office, as well as Ms. Banis, via E-mails and phone calls. They were always professional and knowledgeable. Any communication had an immediate response and follow-up. We have already recommended this firm to the other party in our transaction, since their experience with their legal representative was far from stellar.
