A cesspool of legal malpractice. I watched several parents go through agonizing ordeals despite ORPC being aware (and failing to intervene). Lots of embedded institutional bias, particularly towards Hispanic clients. In my opinion, ORPC needs a leadership change and more judicial scrutiny.

The ORPC is amazing. They provided me with a parent advocate during one of lifes toughest battles. The support given by them is absolutely the best support ever. I am truly thankful for Cameron, my amazing parenting advocate. He stood by my side through every meeting every court hearing. They also appointed me with an amazing attorney Elysia, with whom heard every concern I had and took so much time fighting my case with me. The ORPC helped me through all of it, and I'm so thankful to this organization ♥️♥️ After fighting my d & n case, the Orpc and their support has shown me my path in life. My biggest goal is to become a parent advocate and work next to Cameron and Elysia, and many more.

No answer. It took months two finally get through and since it was clear that they had no plans on doing something I had to file a complaint and am now seeking sanctions on the lawyer they gave me. My constitutional rights, civil rights, and state rights are being violated on so many levels but here I am being punished for exercising my rights by going to trial and they still haven't helped me get my son back from what CPS "found" to be a minor incident of intrafamilial neglect due to environment injurious environment. They also let the judge pick your lawyer! I plan on standing g up fie every right trampled upon and wrong done. I refuse to stop until those dirty lying discriminating staff are fired.

I would love to bring the ORPC to southwest Missouri. What a great group. Ensuring the families in Child welfare cases are represented by family law attorneys and peer supports, I believe helps the department of human services in many ways. When reunification is posible I am certain the work they do helps kids because it reduces the chances that kids will again find themselves in need of placement out of the home. Additionally, the chances kiddos get when their parents truely receive appropriate services greatly reduces the likelihood they will themselves get involved in the courts through criminal actions. The supports they offer parents involved in family wellness like peer support, in my opinion, helps every member of the kids team. When a parent has an advocate it breaks down many of the barriers between all members of that childs team. I also think the FIT model for family wellness is amazing and transformative for the entire family. Judge Meinster, Warren Edson, Carrie Koller ( my wifes attorney ) and Cameron Lundstrom the peer advocate, all had a profound effect on the outcome of our case. Our gratitude for them all is felt daily. Colorado families are blessed greatly because of whats offered there in the form of services. Our entire family cannot thank them enough. We now live in Lawrence County Missouri and are working to help other families engage into treatment. The need for an ORPC and Family Integrated Treatment court would work well here.

What would be the best way to initiate some or all of these helpful initiatives in this area? The need is tremendous.

I was trying to get in contact with then for 4 weeks regarding my lawyer and I only got a response after leaving nasty voice-mail on their general mailbox. Once I got in contact with them they fairly quickly reached out to my lawyer and he became response after that so I do appreciate that. But then after I needed to speak with them again I've called 5 times and I'm still awaiting a call back. It's very frustrating.
