Worst experience with any title company ever and have closed on several properties in different states. Not only was staff unprofessional; they sent funds to a company with same name in GA instead of correct address on file in IL; when asked how they got that address, all they could say was that they didn’t google the address (thanks captain obvious) however couldn’t provide proof of who provided address. The proceeds should have never been mailed anyway. Will never use this company and would only want to warn others of this horrendous experience. Only consistent response is they are busy at the end of the month (them and everyone else).

Askin Jr O Franklin is one of the best professionals to deal with!
I know him and his team for few years now. And I don’t go to any other but him. We have another closing in a week and I will see him again. What makes him so special, you might asking…? Well, first of all he is a “shark” in his field; as well as very punctual and professional lawyer with tons of experience. He is well known as one of the best in our community.
If you’ll decide to go to Askin Jr O Franklin you won’t regret it. He helped me to close on my case last year. And trust me, without him I wouldn’t owe my beautiful condo today ;))) thank you Askin Jr O Franklin and stuff members!!! You guys are the best!

Not good..I had my closing date all set up with Mr. Askin, Only to find out he was out of town and and nobody even told me until I walked into the room. He had another closing attorney fill in for him who left halfway through closing, telling me any questions to email him. And nobody told me I needed to have another form. Bad communication and bad planning on their parts. Then I have to pay big money for their negligence?

I usually don't leave reviews but I felt this one was necessary. First of all, some of Frank Askin's staff members are extremely unprofessional. Secondly, although Mr. Askin, as a closing attorney, technically represents the lender in real estate transactions, he also has a responsibility to the buyer and seller to ensure that the transaction is completed successfully. When problems arose with our closing, Mr. Askin did little to resolve them. When the lender tried to seek clarification in the Hope's of resolving the situation, Mr. Askin merely walked away mid-conversation. Then, when asked to speak to the buyer to give the buyer clarity regarding the situation, he simply said that the seller "was family." It became clear from this exchange that Mr. Askin was heavily biased in favor of the seller.

An attorney should be unbiased, and he or she should assist all parties involved in the real estate transaction from start to finish. Mr. Askin failed to do that at our closing, and so I do not recommend him for real estate transactions.

I don't recommend him. He doesn't thoroughly and efficiently cover the forms. Nor does he stay in his lane. He made inappropriate comments and suggestions at the closing trying to get us to buy/ contribute additional coverage for the buyers... just in case. Unbelievable. The negotiations are done in advance. If you want to participate, then get into real estate sales sir.

Unfortunately, Franklin Askins office has failed in doing one of the things an attorney is supposed to oversee, ensure all payments are collected and sent to the right parties. Being a new home buyer, my experience in closing with this attorney was less than pleasant. They managed to send checks to the incorrect people and do not cover for their mistake. Use another attorneys office if possible.
