I needed a last minute last name change to my CIB to be able to buy a house since I had got married and forgot to update my paperwork. The lady that helped me out in this office was so kind and helped me fill out my forms correctly. I was beyond surprised to find out how quickly they processed my name change as well. I received my updated CIB in the mail all the way in Texas just about 1 week after going to this Chinle office in person to get it fixed. I am SO grateful for the office staff’s helpfulness and speediness in this process so I didn’t have to experience any other delays in closing on our house.

Came from the east valley, with all paper work. Great service and very helpful with answering questions. Delayed with road closures but the people were super nice and kept it open 10 mins past close.

How can our people better themselves if our own government does us wrong our government officials get too comfortable and start making their own rules , they need to put people that want to work in these offices , I called to make sure the office was open since I had to make a 4 hour trip I was told they closed at 4 and Google says they close at 4 I get there at 2:45 only to see a sign saying they close at 2:30 this is why they don't take us seriously.

Workers don't know arizona staye notary requirements. I'm ashamed to associate my affiliation to this chapter.

Go to a different location. They are “open” but closed to the public. Didn’t know until I read it on their door. As I stood at the door they told me to mail in original birth certificates to even get an application. She wouldn’t even put it outside the door while I waited in my vehicle. Their “process” made everything more difficult. I would have had to keep mailing in my package until it was approved with notary public stamp.

Ended up going to Window Rock to get everything done. Took 30 mins! Open 9-2 Monday-Friday.

Need to update your website. It says you close at 4 pm. I drove for 2 hours to be greeted to a sign saying you close at 2:30pm. It would be nice if I knew about this before making a trip. It'd be nice if you answered your phones too so I wouldn't waste my time.

I wish I could give it a zero star. If you get Ester from Chinle Tribal Enrollment Records then you need to get somebody else. Here is the reason why:
She will state “just a letter some information on it and get it notarize. And that’s it.” I had specifically asked her if there are any forms that I needed to get and fill out? And submit any documents? She still stated “just sent a letter and have it notarized.” After fully understand me on what I needed. (A simple name change) Ester stated she understands what I am needing, she stills states “just sent a letter with my basic information and get the letter notarized.” A couple days went by and Ester calls me. Stating that I need to get a form and attach the following documents. I called her out on the stuff she stated to me one the original call, of forms the I needed to get and fill out. And submitting other documents. So over all if you get Ester ask for somebody else. Please someone from the Tribal Government get people that are willing to help inform people of what they need or where they can find the information. Instead of someone that could be replaced with a website directly.

This place needs a reality check! They need people with a polite manner in person and over the phone!! I called in and was told they were open to the public, I took a day out of my busy life to travel from Phoenix to Chinle! And they were closed! I called this morning to confirm my letter was faxed in and the response I got back was ?” THERES NOTHING HERE! CALL BACK LATER!!!” And they hung up! No have a good day, bye! Nothing!! Just a rude hang up!! Terrible service over the phone and in person!!
