Subject: Refund Request for Incorrect Course Purchase and Canceled Insurance

Dear National Notary Association Team,

I am writing to formally request a refund for a recent purchase made in error through your website. On May 27,2025: I intended to renew my Notary Signing Agent certification. However, due to the way the courses were presented online, I mistakenly purchased the initial Signing Agent course for $199, instead of the renewal course I needed.

Upon realizing the error after accessing the course, I immediately contacted your support team and spoke with a representative named Darius. He acknowledged the issue and initially stated he would have Accounting transfer the course and refund the price difference. However, because I explained I was under a time constraint, I requested a cancellation and refund so I could purchase the correct course immediately.

Darius informed me that the course had been removed from my account and that a refund request was submitted, but he could not provide any confirmation, timeframe, or written notice of the refund being processed. I was then transferred to his supervisor, Jordan, who, unfortunately, did not demonstrate the level of customer service I expected. He stated that I would receive an email only once the refund hit my bank account, which is not an acceptable refund communication process for a professional organization.

In addition to the $199 course, I also canceled the $30 Errors and Omissions Insurance that I purchased with the course and am requesting a refund for that as well.

Summary of Refund Request:
• $199 – Incorrect course (initial Signing Agent course)
• $30 – Canceled Errors and Omissions Insurance
• Total Refund Requested: $229

Please confirm in writing that my refund request has been received and is being processed, and provide a clear estimated timeframe for when I can expect the refund.

Many thanks to Timothy Moore. Calling the NNA in regards to applying for renewal of my existing traditional notary stamp and applying for a new commission as well. I wanted to link the two commissions so that they have the same date. Timothy was patient and knowledgeable of the process. Since the process is newly changed, what he did not know he was willing to place me on hold, for a little while, to find out the answers. Thank you for the awesome support.
