David and his assistant, Hana, handled my case, and in my opinion, the experience was nothing short of disappointing. My bills felt excessive and exceeded the initial estimate, communication was poor, errors occurred, and progress was painfully slow—leading to nothing but frustration. I deeply regret reaching out to them. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm and strongly suggest potential clients look elsewhere for competent representation.

Highly recommend David Merbaum and Samantha Wells. They did an excellent job negotiating on our behalf against our new construction builder for a Right to Repair issue that was never completed. Thank you for the advice and for working in a timely manner to get our settlement.

I cannot recommend Merbaum & Becker enough, especially Tashia Zeigler. I'm an attorney myself, but I ran into an issue way outside my wheelhouse, an expensive, time-sensitive, and very DANGEROUS problem. A friend referred me to Tashia, and not only was she knowledgeable, professional, and kind--she was also available to help me on a moment's notice on multiple occasions. Thanks to her quick action and insights, we were able to resolve the situation exactly as I hoped it would turn out. My experience with this firm was everything I hope my own clients feel, and from now on, whenever someone asks me for help with any kind of consumer-protection issue, I'll be referring them to Merbaum & Becker.

Merbaum & Becker was so helpful. I honestly didn’t know where to begin dealing with my legal issues. Tashia Zeigler and the firm took care of EVERYTHING! I can’t explain the weight they lifted. Thank you.

I am so grateful for Attorney Tashia Zeigler ! I bought a new car at the Valdosta Toyota dealership on June 14th, and the finance manager Brandon Hayes lied to me about the interest rates. After I found out that, I went back to get a new contract for the interest rate I wanted, but Brandon Hayes didn’t submit the new contract to the Toyota finance, and later I received two letters from Toyota finance for the old contract payment. I was so frustrated with that situation, and I was searching online for a help, and Attorney Zeigler ‘s team are really really helpful! Attorney Zeigler called me on the phone, and sent me emails to teach me how to deal with the situation, and it’s really helped me fixed the problem! I am so grateful for the help that Attorney Zeigler has provided me! I hope buyers will learn something from my experience.

I am truly thankful for Mr. David Merbaum. He has a wealth of knowledge with construction law, contractors licensing requirements for the State of Georgia and contractual disputes.
Homeowners are excited about remodeling projects and home additions for the spring/summertime. My husband and I were looking forward to the new additions to our home and inviting family and friends over. Then, our excitement become a nightmare due to a substandard contractor, who took our money and abandon the home projects. We were left to deal with the damages and the incomplete work.
I needed an experienced lawyer and I found that in David Merbaum. Mr. Merbaum went to work on my case immediately, holding the party accountable and reaching a swift resolution in less than two (2) weeks.
I am forever grateful for having Mr. David Merbaum's representation.

Thank you, Mr. Merbaum,

Update Feb-2019: I hired him again for a different case and he dropped my case in the middle.

David Merbaum is an excellent attorney. He handled my case of consumer protection. I am glad I hired him. We won the case in my favor without even litigating. He has pretty good skill of writing letters. He does handle small cases. He has handled two of my cases. Both were consumer protection. It is not difficult to reach him. And his fees is very affordable. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Just 2 days before my 93-year-old relative was hospitalized w/ bilateral black eyes, blunt chest trauma, confused after having been found on the floor in their own feces, a family member visited from NC, took the relative to their bank & redirected their life savings to them. The person took the money & ran, as the estate had bills that went unpaid until I paid them & the relative doesn't have a headstone as I type. I sued them. I was assigned Atty Zeigler. Initially, I was thankful for the rescue because she scrambled in after my initial attorney abruptly quit when I took issue w/ him giving the defendant & an interested non-party (a credit union) an extension to deliver discovery responses due on 6/13/23 to 6/26 & 6/29 for a 7/3 trial date. "Attorney Zeigler to the rescue", or so I thought. Before hiring Zeigler I attempted to vet her by asking her a series of questions, whether she was a fighter (b/c by the eve of trial, the Defendant had not served any of the discovery responses the 1st attorney gave her an extension for) so I knew we'd have to fight, I also asked her whether discovery was important to her (since as the Plaintiff, the burden was on us to prove that the Defendant had unduly influenced my deceased family member to the tune of $578,000). (The medical record shows that the relative experienced memory loss & declined suffering from various medical issues brought on by not taking prescribed medications, care gaps & unmanaged chronic health conditions) Atty Zeigler answered in the affirmative & I paid the retainer & we began prepping for the injunction hearing. I wanted the $578,000 froze so that it would not disappear during litigation. We lost our case for the injunction but I remained encouraged & insisted upon Zeigler going after the discovery that was past due & outstanding. As an aside, I drove some 6 hours from my state to her office in GA for the 7/3 hearing only for Atty Zeigler to place me alone in a room with a laptop for our remote hearing as she was positioned elsewhere about her office a good distance away from where she stationed me. I did not benefit from having counsel right beside me. Instead I texted & emailed related questions for her to ask unrelenting as she cross-examined witnesses only to have my emails & texts unread & ignored. After our loss, she appeared extremely busy, was largely unreachable but continued to make promises that her boots were on the ground & that she was going to fight non-stop. The compulsory discovery deadline was set to expire on 10/4/23 and I watched as Atty Zeigler let the other side play discovery games--never providing the actual outstanding discovery but instead making future promises to do so. In one instance, I attempted to conference w/ her & she responded advising that she'd be available tomorrow at 8:00 AM. We agreed to 8:00 AM & right before our appt time, she texted me advising that her tooth cracked overnight & that she was on her way to an emergency appt w/ a dentist. She promised to speak w/ me following her appt but I told her that her self-care was a priority. Why did I say that? She ended up never reaching back out until I initiated contact with her again some time later. Meanwhile an 11K bill came which was largely paralegal work & had items itemized that I had never asked for or seen. Several times throughout the representation I told her not to work on my case at all b/c she was largely unreachable & I began to not have faith in her true intention(s). It appears that during those times she was running a "billing marathon" & when asked to validate the actual charges she sent me incomplete legal drafts weeks after being asked for the billed item. For instance, she sent me an incomplete appeal brief draft addressed to the Supreme Court when the matter was to be appealed to the Court of Appeals. Zeigler was not honest in her dealings w/ me, in her dedication to my case, in her transparency with respect to her conversations w/ opposing & non-party counsel. I still feel compromised by allowing her to represent me.
