I took the 40-hr Family Mediation Course December 2024. The trainers were professional and very knowledgeable. I liked the video clips, the guest speakers, the simulations with direct feedback and suggestions. I felt we could ask any question and get a good answer. I like that it was split up to 3 days one week and 3 days the next week. It was very good training, with options to get experience.

In the 25 years of my professional career, the Mediation Center's training is, by far, the most useful training in which I participated. The content is accessible and relevant for participants across all fields of practice.

I am now desperate to engage in the Family Mediation course to further my understanding of conflict resolution skills and peacekeeping

If you happen to be a human being, take this course!

I trained with the Mediation Center for Mediators. This training was done online and the Mediation center did an amazing job of supporting the class with technology issues and cultivating a sense of togetherness though we were not in the same physical space. Covering so content in 30 hours was a lot to take in however, they trajectory, scope and scaffolding made it accessible to me.

I just completed the 40-hour family mediation training, and I was extremely impressed with the organization, facilitation skills, content delivery, and coordination of materials by all the trainers. And they were fast at following up on any questions, soliciting feedback, and communication in general. HIGHLY recommend their courses!

I recently attended the Mediation Center’s 30-hour Civil Mediation Skills Course, which I must say, was excellent. Important topics concerning interest-based negotiations and multi-cultural differences of litigants were covered in a way that brought new light on strategies needed to keep talks moving. Students were given many opportunities to practice skills learned through realistic roleplay scenarios, coached by expert mediators with years of experience in the field. This allowed us to practice reframing issues to help the parties generate new and plausible options. MN Rule 114 which guides Mediators was thoroughly covered as well as recognizing power dynamics and ethical dilemmas mediators encounter. I wholeheartedly recommend this course for anyone considering becoming a mediator or anyone who would like to improve their abilities to foster positive interactions with opposing groups.
