Terrible! I went with this firm after initial consultation because she was the cheapest option out there. I guess you get what you pay for. She continued to schedule settlement conferences against my wishes dragging this divorce out to almost 2 years now (still going), didn’t do anything in almost the first 6 months after filing, scheduling a conference while I was out of town on military leave after I advised her of dates, didn’t submit proper documentation to the court causing another delay of almost 2 months, asked the same questions about the same items and issues over and over again every time we talked, even issues that were already settled. I do not recommend! New counsel already retained!

We hired Ms. Matevosyan to represent our son in a custody matter regarding our grandchild. During meditation, the mother of the child admitted physically abusing our son. Days later she filed a domestic violence restraining order against our son alleging physical abuse during her pregnancy, she alleged that our son attempted to force her to have sex with him, and that he was an alcoholic. The mother never filed a police report, nor did she ever seek medical attention. Our son lived with the mother and 6 to 7 other family members of hers. Mind you, no one ever saw our son strike the mother. No one ever heard her scream, and no one ever saw him drunk. Our son was working two jobs at times, and he was a full-time college student. We provided Ms.  Matevosyan texts to the girlfriend's mother letting her know that her daughter had struck him again and that she was also made awate of the 4 to 5 other times her daughter had struck our son, pictures of our son's face after being struck by the mother, and our son's declaration, which discredited the the mother's allegations. We provided texts of an incident where the mother almost ran over our son's foot in a parking lot at the mall. A text thst during one of their break ups the mother texted our son that the fetus, because she was still pregnant was allergic to the diapers our son was purchasing and rhat he would need to return all the diapers. We told Ms.  Matevosyan that the mother had a history of fabricating stories. She told my wife that she had a bachelor's degree and that she was working on her master's degree only to be discredited by her own father about a month later this to was included in the declaration. We asked Ms.  Matevosyan to obtain the medical records from the OBGYN who was physically examining the mother and the fetus since she never sought any medical attention for herself and the fetus. Ms.  Matevosyan told us to obtain the medical records from the OBGYN, but we told her we could not due to HIPPA and we again pleaded with Ms. Matevosyan to seek to obtain the medical records from the OBGYN. Ms. Matevosyan never attempted to get the medical records. During cross examination Ms. Matevosyan never utilized the evidence we provided her with to discredit the mother. Ms. Matevosyan was not prepared for the trial and she appeared to have little to no trial experience. The DV restraining order was granted based on hearsay testimony and Ms. Matevosyan did not put to use any of the evidence we had provided to her. A week later I met with Ms.  Matevosyan and asked her why she didn't listen to us when we asked her to seek the medical records from the OBGYN...the only medical professional physically examining the mother and the fetus since the mother never filed any police reports nor did she ever seek medical treatment. Ms. Matevosyan just responded..I didn't think they were necessary.  I then asked her my she didn't use any of the evidence and exhibits we provided her with. Ms. Matevosyan responded...I did the best that I could...I don't even like doing domestic violence restraining orders and I don't think I'm going to do them anymore. We requested a copy of the entire case file. when I went to pickup the file, Ms.  Matevosyan asked me are you saying I did something wrong.  I told her that she provided inadequate representation to our son in such an important matter. We consulted with approximately 6 or 7 other attorneys within the last tthree weeks, who all said that Ms.  Matevosyan provided inadequate representation to our son. A few used the words..she put our son in a bad situation or screwed your son...especially with all the evidence you provided her with. One attorney even advised us to report Ms. Matevosyan. Our son is set to graduate from college in the next academic school year and with the DV retraining order, he will not be able to seek career employment opportunities.
