PREDATORY COMPANY. Do not use!
Their radio ad states “we will not take your case unless we know we can greatly reduce or completely eliminate your tax debt “

I contacted LTD because I was behind on my taxes (business and personal) due to multiple cancer surgeries and inability to work. They seemed very helpful when taking my information and combined both of my issues for 1 review fee. I was assured they could eliminate my taxes. I paid my review fee and submitted supporting documentation to start the process. Shortly thereafter I was contacted and told my review was complete and again reassured that they could get my debt eliminated. I then paid the remaining balance for their services.
1/30/25 I was contacted and told the IRS had agreed to a 72 month payment plan with ZERO reduction in the amount of debt. (I won’t be alive for 72 months . Cancer) The same plan is available to me on the IRS website without LTD assistance.
LTD’s response was they have no control over IRS. I totally understand that, but they advertise themselves as professionals and should know how the IRS adjudicates these matters.
I was then informed the review of my business tax issues had not been completed because of a signature issue on one of their forms.
This means I was lied to when I paid my final installment.
ENOUGH.
I encourage all who have been scammed by this company to file a complaint with the FTC predatory and deceptive business practices division.

LDT was initially contacted by phone on August 23, 2024 to resolve an outstanding IRS issue: tax obligations/penalties. During the call, a spokesperson for the firm, Eric Parker, acknowledged and assured, based on information provided, LTD could address and resolve our IRS issue. However, for them to proceed a $500 deposit was required; this was to generate and reviews "numerous" reports.

After several weeks of not hearing from LDT, we re-contacted the firm, requesting follow-up progress. Nothing was provided other than an IRS report, identical to one we had previously obtained from the IRS. They provided no additional reports, nor IRS information pertinent to our issue we didn't already have. In addition, for any future or further work would require an additional $2,300. We declined, since their service at that stage lacked assurance of a timely and satisfactory resolution with the IRS.

This company will scam you our of $500. If you have issues with the IRS, "patiently" contact the IRS and ask specifically for an IRS tax "advocate"; work with that person. We did and were helped satisfactorily.

Do not repeat do not use this company. They scammed me for over $4500 never resolved anything other than to tell me what was left over of my pay was the amount IRS wanted for resolution of my issue. They did not reduce the debt at all! I was told they would either reduce it or get rid of it completely but all they did was take my money and now want me to pay the IRS over $500 a month when I am on disability and a retirement. OK I was already paying the IRS when they called me and wanted me to sign up and the only reason why I signed up with them was because they could get it completely reduced or reduced a lot.

This company should be shut down! I can’t believe I fail for this scam. I paid them around 10,000 total maybe more. They have been working on my case for more than five years. What have they done in five years absolutely nothing. They give you false promises to keep you hanging on as they continue to take your money. My debt went from 45,000 to 65,000 I owe to the IRS. Why because I listen to Legal Tax Defense and allowed them to continue to add new tax debt each year. I was told that may Penalties and interest would be dropped. That didn’t happen. My case has been settled and I now have to pay 65000 to the IRS, 1100 a month. They promise to erase my taxes debt. That didn’t happen.
The only solution I received for my 10,000 dollars was that me or my husband needed to quit our job. The case manager asked if we have thought about retiring. That’s what five years and 10,000 dollars got me. I wished I would have looked at the reviews before I signed the paperwork. I gave them a one star but the truth be told they don’t even deserve that.

Cold called me in April and made promises that they could free me from my tax liability. They take the most vulnerable and tag them along and tease them for months. Tell you if you receive a notice to ignore it. It's a "scare tactic." The scare tactic was a lien on my home at 66 years old. They were paid $11,200 and used my credit card every chance they got. It's humiliating to know you actually trusted a company like this.

They write their own Google reviews. You won't see them on YELP.

DON'T LET ANYONE DO THIS TO YOU. IT HAS BEEN THE END FOR ME. I can't move, I can't take my social security or pension because it will be garnished.

I never once dealt with or saw a license from these so-called ATTORNEYS.
