Desperate for legal advice and having been told that they are the people to give advice regarding family matters, I called and spoke to a rude woman who flat-out told me that they were refusing to give me any advice. She admitted that they are supposed to give legal advice regarding elder laws but are refusing me on a “case-by-case basis.” Thanks for adding stress and hopelessness to an already significant problem legal aid.

The woman at the front desk was incredibly rude. My husband and I were shushed so she could finish her personal conversation with a colleague. Then when she finally turned to us she said they were not family law and that I must have read a sign that said NOT family law before I can in and misread it. Then provost give me a nasty fake smile telling me where I needed to go, pointed at the wall at something and that was it. Very half assed and rude. Find someone with a friendly demeanor for your front desk when people come in need of help.

omg james gave me the wrong advice on a unlawful, detainer, case I told him it should’ve been retaliation and that’s what it should have been I lost because of it being about habitability and not retaliation he didn’t check retaliation box so now I’m being kicked out and they won’t appeal it when I had a minor stroke during the court proceedings and could not understand what was going on. I thought legal services were supposed to help that disabled not put him in a hole deeper. go with your gut if you’re instinct tell you something different than legal services are you’ll end up homeless

They don't help grandparents I'm frustrated with it. My poor grandkids are on a emotional roller coaster because of the mom using them and always taking them away when she gets mad I'm frustrated that they don't help with any of grand parents rights!
