Was placed on hold after explaining, waited for 13 mins then they hung up. I called back but was on hold for 22 mins. So I hung up. Very unprofessional. I guess my review will match the others.

I don't ever remember writing a bad review. I'm not sure how they are funded but my financial situation is one of the worst I've heard of and they aren't helping me but closed my case.

I would give 0 stars if I could. What a shame and disgrace to have this agency represent Virginia. They are absolutely no help at all and always talking about they don't have anyone to help with your case. Don't even waste your time.

So I was appointed an attorney in December for a custody/visitation case and I kept calling leaving voicemails and emails never got a response back at all. My court date is June 13th of which is tommorrow . So a lady called me and said that the lawyer they appointed me tried calling and never got to me WHICH WAS A LIE ! Come to find out he actually quit and so that was a waste of time for me so they said I have to refile again which I did and then a lawyer called me saying oh we are to short staffed so they basically screwed me and this cheer date is going to be a battle and now I’m going to look stupid as hell because of them wasting my time . Thanks a lot legal aide get service keep up the good work!

I don't qualify for aid for my divorce from my abusive husband because I work 40 hours a week. It doesn't matter that I only earn 410/week, I have no address and I can't afford to feed my cats after I pay the hotel more than I earn. But I don't qualify because I work 40 hours a week.

Do what you will with this information. If you qualify I wish you luck in everything you do. I hope it turns out well.

They obviously pick & choose who they want to help at this so-called legal aid place. It's been months & I was told I qualified for services and would be hearing from an attorney to help guide me. The intake person estimated I'd hear from them within 7-10 business days and they'd let me know my options. That never happened. No help for the people who need it the most and are being taken advantage of. Isn't that the point of legal aid? Very disappointing.

For starters, the receptionist and the specialist who gathered my initial information were amazing! They were nice and helpful. But when the attorney called i had a totally different experience - she was very rude. She was not listening with the intent to understand my case and was very dismissive. I don’t know if she is overwhelmed by her position or workload but i definitely felt dismissed during the call. I almost got confused if this was a person who was even attempting to represent me based off of her responses. I literally cried after i got off of the phone with this attorney because of the energy she had. I feel so sorry for who ever has no options and would have to work with her.
