Just spoke with someone named Naomi. Very unprofessional, during entire call it sounded like she was scuffling papers. she kept cutting me off before I even finished my questions. When I said something about it she hung up on me. Would definitely not recommend talking to her

Awful for those looking for help with divorce and child custody unless your child is in physical danger and even then it's resource numbers. The purpose is for those who cannot afford a lawyer. Why is divorce and custody the only exception? Or is the origin of the problem with the lawyers themselves, I'd like to know, but, for now, one star.... frustrating and no help.

Edit to legal aid my review and response:

I'm sure that the people in the situations you've provided in your response are all very thankful for your help. I am also in need of legal services and it's painfully apparent that in most other states legal aid for divorce/ custody IS OFFERED and I'm not the only one that has had to be repeatedly asked, "Have you tried legal aid, they should be able to help."
I would love to be apart of the solution and change and would welcome some feedback on why single mothers/fathers trying to protect their rights to their children are not a part of a protected class of citizens. Right now I'm too busy trying to teach myself what it takes lawyers years to learn to defend my children in court against a seasoned attorney and be ready to do so in 20 days.

I am impressed with the response time and how delicate my unfortunate situation is being handled I highly recommend that anyone who has any legal needs start here first if your situation does not qualify for at least a phone call from a attorney, you will be steered in the right direction to seek a attorney that works in the field you will need. I would like to express to the Concord Legal aid office and their team my gratitude for their volunteered time and all the effort put into easing the stress on me and beginning so very kind to me.

I will not recommend them to represent you in a case. My lawyer was not dependable. Doesn't give you a call back. She said she can't represent you and haven't research the case. Her manager is no help either if you have a complaint please do not go to her she just as bad.

You can not get through on the phone not at all! I have tried for months! I don't think anyone really works there our tax money being wasted

There is a long hold period. However, the staff is very friendly and patient. Unfortunately, due to household income I was not able to utilize services.

Called trying to get help for my mom and the only time I spoke with a lady she acted as if I wasn't being honest and she said she would see what could he done and ain't heard anything back from her ir them. It was going to be free services for my mom and that could be the reason. Don't know and probably will never know
