They are not very helpful at all. I would suggest if you can afford a lawyer. You need to go to them. Do not go to legal aid. They're very useless. It's like they don't have time for no one And they don't ask you enough questions of why are you calling? Why do you need services so quickly? You have to say it's emergency if you need help

they help some people some times. not all people all the time for every poor person case. They may assisted in suggesting what we could do on our own and have assisted in pointing us in the right direction but could not represent us due to their short staff and limited legal issues they are able to assist with.

we all should receive a day in court and with representation especially if unable to afford it. however, that help is not always available.

if you find yourself in a court, ask for community service instead of fines. if you find yourself taking someone to court, always read laws and ask questions. many court cases can be done following steps online. it takes a lot of research and reading past cases or "case law" to find similar cases to follow as a template.

they do assist with helping get back your rent deposits, rental issues, wills, and power of attorney paperwork,

but they also do not help with many many issues that plague poor people..

we need way more legal representation for those whom cannot even afford the "consultation" fee nor the "retainer" fee.

those are more than half a year of ssi checks and not everyone even gets that and some live on way less based on their abilities to work only part time and paying bills leaves many wothout means to afford law help.

excellent staff whom show up day in and day out despite the weather or their own life challenges and are always there to help others in receiving justice. Highly recommend if you qualify!

Not helpful at all. Seem to always be upset and just divert me at all cost. 20 min hold for a 20 second call and I never get a single question answered.

Received a couple of emails and a couple of voicemails. Told me to figure out how to file my own documents then said they couldn't help me with my custody case because they said they don't have the resources. So beyond disappointed. Told me to hire a private attorney. I am currently unemployed or I would gladly do that. Not sure why they think I am contacting them if I could afford a private attorney

I thought they only helped poor and low income people. Not so. They are representing a well to do account living in a 400,000 house ! Do not donate to these people as they will waste your money on people who can afford an attorney!
