Jennifer Simmons is a fully competent and capable attorney, however, from my personal experience with her she is very rude and she lacks empathy for her clients' difficult situations. On several occasions while interacting with Ms. Simmons she spoke to me in a very condescending manner as if I were beneath her and spoke to me like a child. More importantly, Ms. Simmons was more interested in reaching an agreement with the other party (who had an attorney she is friends with) than actually fighting to protect my children, which is why I hired her in the first place. She also tried to use my past from almost 20 years ago before my children were born against me while counseling me to agree to stipulations I was not comfortable with. She kept threatening me that I "would lose my kids." Ms. Simmons belittled my relationship of 13 years with my ex fiancée and father of my 3 children by stating "You weren't even married....your BOYFRIEND this...your BOYFRIEND that..." Ms. Simmons certainly doesn't make you feel that she is on your side. She is very cold. She has a sort of attitude as though she is paying you for her time and not the other way around. If you want an attorney that will fight for you, this is not the one to go with. If you want an attorney that understands you and has empathy for one of the most difficult times in your life, don't waste your money with Jennifer Simmons. It seems her title has gone to her head and she lacks common courtesy and basic people skills. In court, I had to have my Guardian Ad Litum changed because Ms. Simmons had a conflict with the one the judge assigned. She told me it was because said Guardian Ad Litum "used to work for me and left on bad terms." This woman is confrontational. I hope this honest review helps someone else from wasting their time and money with Jennifer Simmons as she has wasted my precious time and resources. I Have the receipt to prove I was an actual client.

How do you find the words to describe the worth of your quality of life? The worth of your children’s future and best interest? The worth of less conflict and stress? The worth of your safety, sleep, time, and financial means? Divorce and custody matters can be life altering. One choice can greatly change the course and outcome. Making the right choices are difficult when you are scared, vulnerable, or facing the complex issues that are common during a family law matters. However, the single MOST IMPORTANT choice you will make in a family law matter is who you choose to represent you. I had somebody that had my back and I didn’t have to fight alone. This whole process they made it so comforting and helped me through a nightmare of a time. They were professional and did everything in a very timely manner. Jennifer Simmons and her team were my answer.

I have been working with Jennifer Simmons for about 2 years on my child custody case. Our case was quite complex, but I can say that through the process I always felt like Jennifer had my and my childs best interest in mind. I came to her lost and confused. What we appreciate the most is her honesty and how straightforward she was - Jennifer Simmons not sugarcoat situations and give us a false hope. If we were mistaking - she would say it. She was committed, involved and professional. She gave us advices on how to handle difficult situations and did more than just assist us legally. She guided us to grow as people and to learn how to handle stressful situations better - which does not have have a price tag.
Jennifer Simmons is not the cheapest attorney out there, but we truly believe she is the best.

I typically would avoid putting my own stuff out there, but saw some of these postings and felt compelled to write my experience as it is relevant and quite current. Allow me to preface this by saying that if you are looking for the most inexpensive, cheapest attorney – then Jennifer is not for you. She is a professional and a SME in her profession. Experts cost money folks I certainly don’t expect to be paid pennies on the dollar for my skill level. With that being said Jennifer is one of the most ethically sound attorneys that I have ever had interactions with…Almost annoyingly so…lol.. Therefore, please take note: If you are looking for representation that will be on your side no matter what you do – She may not be for you as she represents the “common sense” approach and legally/ethically there is a right and wrong way of doing things. In my experience Jennifer works tirelessly to keep her clients on the “right” side of law and ensure that their actions and outcome are fair. She is highly respected in the area courts, which informs me that she has maintained a positive reputation. Her staff has always been courteous and open in communicating with me in a timely manner. I appreciate her work and would recommend her to anyone.

I had a consult with Ms. Young for a custody case. She answered every single question I had, gave me confidence in how to handle pretrial without her presence. The case was finalized during pretrial, and I couldn’t thank Ms. Young more. I really appreciate this law offices work, they are very professional, quite responsive, and they are worth every penny. My wife and I had been dealing with a custody case of her two oldest children for over 4 years. We had spoke to numerous attorneys in that time span to get help on what we could do because of jurisdiction issues surrounding the custody. None of them could point us in the right direction of what we could do or the options we had until we contacted Jennifer. After we spoke to Jennifer she researched some things and responded back to us in a couple hours after our visit. Not only did she find the answers we needed but she represented us in our custody case. Jennifer and her staff were great. She and her staff were always there for any questions we had. If you need an attorney and staff who you can count on to put in the work and be behind you a 100% then Jennifer is who you need to call. My wife, step-children, and I are ever so grateful for the work and time Jennifer and her staff provided us.
