Brock and his team are amazing, patient and tenacious.! The journey/quest began with a Salida ,CO landlord (David Vogt) July of 2020.(I physically moved out 4/2020-, kept paying rent until Vogt found a new tenant on July 2020). The landlord had months of excuses as to why he hadn't yet returned my deposits. at this point, I engaged the help of Brock Miller to get the funds. Vogt sent then a check on 10/10/2020. Included were deductions for damages previous to us moving in (had supporting pictures) and fictious damages. What would ensue would be three years of chasing David Vogt through trying to serve him papers for court. (Vogt has a history, many printed pages of documentation showing attempts to serve him notice over the past years. This was not Vogts first rodeo. He was used to shortchanging tenants on their deposits). Finally, a public notice in the newspaper got his attention. As a court date was set and time was getting close, mediation was held, and Vogt offered insulting amounts for a settlement after 3 years of non cooperation and being elusive. Finally, a respectful offer was made and accepted. Final settlement amount by David Vogt was receive at Brock's office 9/22/2023 ... over THREE years after this all began.
David stayed with it, was always available. This was not a landmark case, nor profitable, but Brock stayed the course and help me collect funds and hopefully send a message to David Vogt; you don't do this to people and get away with it anymore.
I highly recommend Brock and his law firm for their ethics, tenacity and legal knowledge. Thank you, Brock and your team!
