Kent was our guide and from start to finish this was an amazing experience. My wife had fly fishing on her bucket list. Having never fly fished in her life, Kent's instruction led to her catching multiple fish which was amazing as the temperature was 8 degrees outside. I would highly recommend this outfitter for novice through expert. They will put you on fish.

Highly recommend! This was my first fly fishing experience and my first time in Colorado. My wife booked the 6 hour fly fishing trip as a surprise to me with Kirk's a couple weeks prior to our arrival. Upon our arrival the staff at the shop were knowledgeable and quick to assist us with gear selection. They were considerate in where we wanted to fish (Inside the National Park) and gave us options for where we wanted to go. Our guide, Andy, put us in the water and was very helpful in teaching us techniques. With fluctuating temperatures in recent days the fish were picky, but Andy got us right where we needed to be. After catching some Brown trout in the morning, the shop provided lunch which included deli style sandwiches (we recommend the chicken salad). After lunch the bite really picked up. We spent the remainder of the afternoon on Brook trout and had an absolute blast! I can't recommend this outfitters group enough!

The guides were amazing. Friendly & easy going. They set the trips to you & what you want to get out of it. The fishing with Andrew was top notch. Again great guy to spend an afternoon with on the river. Made sure we’d catch some fish & had a Funtime doing it. Hiking with Seth was great also. Easy going & knowledgable on the area. Would recommend this to anyone! 10 out of 10

Our Guide was Ben and this was the first time fly fishing for me and my wife. Kirk’s set us up with all the gear and an amazing guide. We had everything we needed for a great trip and I can tell you we had an absolutely amazing time. I would highly recommend you book your guided fly fishing trip with Kirk’s Fly Shop. Amazing people great to deal with helpful and wow what an experience we will never forget. Thanks to all and thank you Ben for a great trip. I can’t say enough good things about how our experience w Kirk’s Flyshop was. We were a little nervous as a group (5 people) bc none of us had been fly fishing before and we had a 7,9 year old amongst the group. Our two guides John and Kent were amazing. They were both very patient w us especially the young ones and wow we had the best experience. They spent time really teaching and educating us on how to fly fish. As a group we caught over 16 fish, and more importantly the kiddos had an amazing time. Thank you guys so much!! Will be back for sure!!

My wife Julie and I were guided by John one of the guides who worked most of summer. Down Thompson River. Caught many very healthy trout rainbows and brown. 12 to 19 inches. Scenery was beautiful. John was a great guide 4 hours w more than enough beginning at 1 pm. Hopper dropper w tiny flies trailing.

Our 2nd annual single-day fly fishing experience. What a great time and far more fun than the first time (to be clear, we still don't know what we're doing). We had a great time, enhanced experience with Jerry as our guide. Still beginners, but Jerry has a great style for making it enjoyable. A few hour trip turns into a year's worth of reminiscing about the experience. Highly recommend Jerry and the Flyshop team for making it so much fun. We will absolutely be back next year

My daughter and I had a 4 hour fly fishing trip with Luke. He was a FANTASTIC guide and we had the best time! This was only my third time to fly fish and it was my daughter’s first time. Luke was so patient and taught us both so much in a fun, relaxed way. He gave me tips I hadn’t heard before. We both caught more than five fish but honestly would have had a great time enjoying the beauty of the spot Luke took us to in RMNP even if we hadn’t caught any.
