If something happens to you or your business in Jefferson County good luck getting justice. Do you have a court order in your favor as evidence to pursue felony charges? You might as well throw that court order away. PFA'S and Court orders from multiple courts will be ignored here. Your DA's office does not support you. Things were so much better before Danny Carr became the DA. As a civilian, your DA's office will refuse to speak to you & intake is a 40/60 ratio of upholding the law on your behalf. Your evidence will be ignored and so will the case law concerning your situation. Birmingham/Jefferson county is not a safe place to live and work

A contractor accepted my insurance funds to make repairs related to tornado damage. After several months of increasingly implausible excuses for not following through, I consulted the Jefferson County District Attorney's office (Danny Carr). The DA's office recommended that I file an immediate report with my local police department. A local investigation led to charged being filed with the DA's office.This interagency collaboration was an outstanding display of commitment to citizens and to serving justice. I was consistently kept aware of proceedings and extended concern by all parties of the justice system. The concern and coordination among departments had merit of its' own. The above and beyond occurred when the District Attorney's office (Danny Carr) retrieved and returned my insurance funds and did so within a few short months.

Magistrates office as well as DA's office is located in the building and right across from each other. The staff was very helpful in providing information useful in particular case.
