Therapist was good (no longer there, I believe) but the office is a mess. Practice owner is disorganized and rude. Billing is erratic. If billing is atypical the practice manager, who was “handling it” just avoided dealing with it so the therapist wasn’t getting paid. A mess. Thanks for wrecking that therapeutic relationship. Fully expecting Lisa (owner) to contact me with threats. Don’t waste your breath.

I would not recommend this business. They are redoing their billing where the owner is taking it over from a previous company their were outsourcing too. I was hit with a massive bill out of the blue from 4 years ago, due immediately with language around going to authorities if it was not paid immediately. This was sent to me on a Friday. When I tried to get a hold of them, they were out of the office.

The owner was able to put me on a payment plan that we discussed after getting ahold of her. Since then, I haven't been able to get her on the phone even after multiple attempts and voicemails left. She did not send out payment plan invoice on time, instead letting her automated system send me another email for my full invoice after I had already paid a portion.

I would not recommend their services.

FIND A COUNSELOR SOMEWHERE ELSE. The way they conduct business here is completely unprofessional and awful. They came after me 2 years later for a copayment that was determined my responsibility by the insurance company. ($80) Threatened to go to court and collections for an invoice that I have no recollection of even seeing a counselor at their establishment. The appointment was scheduled and then canceled. And they continued to spam and threaten to take me to court. When I tried to ask for more information I wasn't given any. I’ve requested the notes from the visit which I should be entitled to but nothing was ever given to me.

** upon the owner reading this review I received an email threatening to take me to court for “false claims” and writing a poor review of my experience. After i PAID IN FULL the invoice she was demanding without the information i requested because I didn’t want to be spammed and harassed via email anymore. Does this sound like someone you want to help you along your healing journey? Feels vindictive if you ask me. All I have to say is look at the other poor one star reviews and you will see it’s a pattern of behavior not a one off experience. You can’t treat previous clients abusively and expect me to shut up about it and just take it. Good therapists elsewhere have taught me that.

We scheduled an appointment for about 4 weeks out. The first available for an early morning appointment (7:15am). I received several confirmations via text and phone 1-3 days prior to the appointment which I responded to so we were all set. We were there 15 minutes early the day of the appointment and waited an additional 30 minutes. No one showed up. The office remained closed. I called and left 2 messages requesting an explanation- it’s been 6 days now and I have still received no response other than an automated text requesting I confirm my appointment set for another date and time. So I can only imagine they just set us a new appointment (9:45 am during spring break...) thinking that we would just let it go and show up...? This is no way to do business. I would have considered trying this business again or setting a new first appointment if someone had been human and compassionate enough to pick up the phone and offer an explination for no one being there for our appointment. Since our efforts to rearrange our schedules and procure childcare and to pay a professional to assist with our marital problems were not even respected enough for the person to show up OR provide additional information OR a phone call to at least validate our wasted time and effort- I’m offering this business 1 star only because there is no option for a 0 star rating. Great location, what a disappointment.

Awful experience. After establishing care with Katy Webb for serveral months, we were sent an email with one day notice that Katy Webb would no longer be with Hanover Counseling. I was given no reason for her departure and was told that if I didn’t want to follow her to her own practice I would have to go on a waiting list. Katy Webb has since had legal issues for credit card fraud, has numerous complaints with the DHP, and risks loosing her license. I wish Hanover Counseling had been more transparent regarding her departure to prevent such damage being done to my family as a result of following her.

I am very disappointed with the quality of their scheduling staff. The girl who was in charge of scheduling my appointment had a very difficult time taking down my information. When I asked her a few general questions about Hanover Counseling Associates, she was not able to provide me with adequate information and she was very unknowledgeable. I also had to repeat myself multiple times and give her one number at a time, and yet, she still messed up my phone number and the counselor I asked to see. She scheduled me with the wrong counselor and when another scheduling staff personal tried to call me to cancel my appointment - because the counselor I was accidentally scheduled to see was sick - the wrong number was on my record. So, I ended up driving 30 minutes just to be told "sorry" and that the next closest appointment they had available was not until next month.

I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism, inability to pay attention to detail, and the lack of concern that it would be a month until I could be rescheduled after the fact I had already waited 3 weeks to be seen.

If i could chose no stars that would be my rating. I had 7 appointments scheduled, two were called off at last minute because of a sickness, one was nearly ten minutes late to open up the building for my 8:00 am appointment, Another was a complete no show, no call, or no followup call for 8 am appt, weeks later still no call or offer to reschedule. Not any way to instill trust in a therapist which you are supposed to be open with.

Love Love Love my therapist! Hate that I can never get in touch with anyone to reschedule (even if it’s for a last minute sickness). I definitely recommend Amy as a therapist, but being able to get into touch with someone from the practice whether it’s to reschedule or for billing questions is a complete challenge. No one is ever there to answer the phone.
