I will say, don’t use him. Extremely rude, arrogant and money hungry.

Took $111 for what he declared would be court costs, was told no paperwork would be drafted until Monday until after substantial amount was paid for retainer ($750).

When I realized I actually no longer needed him, I called back less than an hour later and asked for the court costs back he not only raised his voice at me but was beyond unprofessional. Stick to someone else above.

Currently in the process of filing a bar complaint.

The attorney Mr. Gates was a joke. He wasn’t worth my time or money. He does not work for you. He lied to me and charge me one price then added more charges when he didn’t get the job done. I would recommend him to anyone or his firm. Look for someone else.

Working with Mrs. Hennigan at Gates Law as my primary attorney, we had an excellent experience! There was attention to detail, personal attention, and effective results. I really could not have asked for more. We can't expect things to be perfect when we are involved with legal system. When dealing with the courts and other lawyers on our behalf, I know there were factors beyond her control, but Mrs. Hennigan helped the process to feel as under control as possible and remained transparent with every step. Of course, it can always be a messy process, but all in all, I felt that our adoption process was handled with much care and concern.

Didn't meet until morning of court- he wasn't prepared, he didn't care. Waste of $450 (which was paid almost 2 months beforehand).
I truly would have been 100% better off had I gone to court by myself

Didn't do much to help me with my case after paying thousands of dollars. After receiving my sentence I tried to reach out to Richard Gates and he laughed in my face and told me that he didn't care and said that I was guilty. I would NOT recommend him to anyone.
