The service is free and run by volunteers so it’s sometimes difficult to get through for obvious reasons. This is a charity so I think they’re doing great and are being helpful for the community.
I waited maybe 20 minutes and received solid advice on next steps. They clearly state on the website that complex legal cases will require input from a solicitor which you can’t get over the phone.
Considering this is a free service (legal advice certainly isn’t usually free) then it’s brilliant and I’m grateful someone is running this. The volunteer I spoke to was very helpful and friendly.

Called over 20 times only to be met with an automated voice telling me the lines are busy, and that the queue is full. I finally overcame this and was placed on hold for over 40 minutes, being told I was number 5, 3 and finally 1 in the queue and that I would be spoken to shortly. THEN THEY HUNG UP ON ME And now I can't get through again.
I understand this is legal volunteers, but don't falsely advertise a service and waste my time. Shocking.

The guy called me at 9pm to tell me to call a solicitor, after stating that I am correct regarding several illegal practices.
Waste of time. What a joke.
Ireland is so corrupted that I do not feed any hope on this country.

First of all I was given incorrect information, secondly I was told to contact solicitor, waste of time. Not helpful at all.

This is a great service. I understand it can be hard to get through but remember these guys are volunteers! I did actually get to speak with a barrister, which was a brilliant opportunity & service for free. He was very helpful and I very much appreciated his time and advice

T whole thing is a scam! I got in touch via email explaining my situation got a reply the next morning with a time and date which they would call me (The following Thursday).
There was a request for contact information which I replied to almost right away! So I hear no more until the following week (Monday) when I receive an email saying my appointment will be cancelled unless I reply before 1pm with my details but I already done this!?
I responded three times before 1pm explaining I have already replied can you see my emails etc. Don't waste your time with these its like everything else in this country you get absolutely no help from anyone unless your throwing a load of money at them!

After being caller number 4, waiting on the phone for 30 min, I was informed that all of the sudden the queue for calls was full and I should call back another time. For all the possibilities with technology this system of calls surely can be improved so more people can reach the service.

They say their phone lines are open from 9.00am to 1.00pm .
When you ring, they have an automated message to inform you that the lines are busy and that they are unable to put your call into a queue.
A very poor service , not everyone can use a laptop to send emails.
