Doug was very unresponsive. You Could go weeks without speaking with him even in a case regarding Child protective orders and keeping children safe. He does not seem to care at all about you or your case. He never followed through on anything and expected us to do his job for him. He also got very short at the end when we expressed concerns about the case. Hand down the worst attorney ive ever dealt with or heard of anyone dealing with.

Mr. Neely likes to rack up costs for everything. He leaves mediation early. He cancels hearings and gets confused with what type of hearings are scheduled. During a hearing, he started sweating a lot and had to leave to take medication. I thought he was going to have a heart attack. He continues to tell the court things that are inaccurate, which prolongs things further instead of sticking to the details and facts. His health is taking a toll on him and because of this, he does not make the smartest decisions when it comes to legal cases, which therefore furthers conflict instead of the lawyers term of “good faith” effort to resolve issues. His wife also has health issues and he continues to use his health as a way to victimize himself in court to try to win for his clients and put the opposing counsel at a disadvantage. Mr. Neely needs to retire and focus his time on him and his wife’s health so he can have quality of life as he continues to age.

Cares about money and that’s it. How can you double book yourself in court and then not let anyone know? Shows up to one persons hearing and leaves the other wondering what’s going on. Completely screwed my brother over and made him look like a complete fool to the judge. Then pretty much told him to pay up and they’re done.

He’s a five star lawyer if the review is less than somewhere the client messed up most likely. It happens when it happens, most definitely. Eight years later , I won. Thanks Doug and Team!

Best decision I’ve made in getting my life back and handling my divorce. Divorce is uncomfortable but Doug and his team will work hard to help you in making the best decision possible for you and your family.

Hiring Doug was the best decision that I made. Doug went to battle for me and my daughter although my case was very complicated and there had been no other case like it in the state of Utah he was determined and always confident never gave up. His office was always there to answer questions, he always came very prepared for our court hearings. Doug is very knowledgeable in Family Law, and in the end the court ruled in our favor. Without Doug Neeley I fear what the outcome would have been. I would recommend Doug Neeley to anyone that needs an Attorney if you want an Attorney that is knowledgeable, determined and willing to fight for you till the end then Doug Neeley is one that I highly recommend because that is exactly what he did for me.

Doug did a great job as my attorney. I let him know exactly what I wanted and that is what he did. I am happy with the service I received.
I also appreciated that he did not file unnecessary and costly paperwork.
The secretaries were great to work with. They were always available to answer my many questions and get back to me if it was a question for Doug. The bonus was that they always made me laugh and helped to lighten the mood.

My wife hired Mr. Neeley a few years ago. She has led a very accomplished and honest life. She has a lot of integrity and works hard. She hired Mr. Neeley for a divorce years ago, and he turned out to be one of the most dishonest people she had ever encountered. He basically stole money from her and justified it. He used only about 3-4 hrs. of time in 1 hearing, and just took all $1500 she had paid just to retain him, then he dropped her, because she went into his office to help make photocopies for her hearing, and be of help, so that nothing would be missed, since there was a time constraint.
Mr. Neeley is a shyster and shifty character! My wife asked him many times to return her money, since the accounting only showed he used about $600. She had proofs that he overcharged her, but he would not return her money. Instead, he dropped her the night before her most important hearing to get her 7 yr. old son back from a husband who never had custody. She fought for 3 months just to see her son! Her former husband would not even let her have visitation during that time.
She is the best mom, and has raised 5 accomplished sons, including 2 Eagle Scouts, 4 sons in college including one going to Dental School. She reminded Mr. Neeley about owing her when seeing him in court on another matter several years later, and he was rude and thoughtless. In fact, he is abusive with how he treats most people. I haven't seen a man marginalize people as he does, but most of all STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN. He is a disgrace to Utah, and especially, the Ephraim-Manti community.
