Very inhumane, u feel just like a ticket number. They don’t even get full details before they try to pass u off. They go based on your husbands income, my income is zero and I didn’t qualify. Sent me to an attorney referral service. How I’m I going to pay with the zero dollars and zero cents I make.I obviously wouldn’t be reaching out for help if I didn't need it but that’s our system they fail women and children. Lady sounded like she could care less what happens to u.

Dade Legal Aid Bankruptcy Intake was the service that I signed up for. I called by phone after I visited the website and read a very strict list of requirements to sign up for their Bankruptcy services however, none of these were even requested from me when I spoke to the person over the phone. They only have 1 person handling everyone's phone calls and emails. This person sounds very professional and well spoken over the phone but the person does not explain very important details about how the signup process is handled nor the length of time it may take.

If you want these details, you will need to ask all the questions because they are not provided otherwise. There is a very very very long wait to even be considered as a possible "Bankruptcy Intake". That is, if you will even be contacted at all...

I personally was ignored for weeks by this individual and I was also calling a personal cell phone at one point that was given to me as a second contact by this person.

After weeks of waiting and placing many phone calls I became a bit upset after multiple times of speaking to this individual. He suddenly became a bit uneasy and would be of no help over the phone by always making excuses that he was not in control of the intake process by any means so all he can do is try his best for you but could not make any promises. He would try his best to cut the conversation short by making himself look like someone who is not in control or in charge of anything...

So I made 1 last attempt at sending an email to this person with an urgent request for assistance with no further delays and to my surprise, he replied back to me with an attorney contact.

The attorney was very nice with very good communication and I received advice from this attorney but all the attorney convinced me of doing was to wait until court papers were served with a lawsuit.

Well after I was sued by the creditor, the attorney now decided to meet with me over Zoom Video for the third time to simply tell me they could not help me out except give me advice so that I could do the work on my own.

Well it was a very deceiving way of keeping me on the hook for Zoom Video calls which they were likely collecting payments for to simply waste my time and give me a friendly kick in my rear end as soon as I was sued by my creditor and very desperate for help to say the least.

I luckily was able to receive some private help for a very affordable price before a judgement but "I DO NOT RECOMMEND" Dade Legal Aid, to anyone who needs help unless they are willing to risk wasting their time with people who are pretending to do good work for low income individuals which to me is a dishonest practice for the people who need help the most.

In my personal experience it would be much better finding a private attorney with reasonable pricing who can offer a payment plan option.

Lack of basic humanity with regards to communicating with referrals who do not have access to internet/email. The only way to apply for services is via online app. The only way of communicating with them is through email. Disgusted as former social worker in Miami. Is it too much to be accessible via phone? Would not recommend.

I am so thankful for being able to receive their services! It was an amazing experience. I was able to get a dissolution of marriage and obtained sole parental responsibility (full custody) thanks to them. Miss Grossman was very professional and exceed my expectations. She was eager to win the case and answered properly and promptly all of my questions. She and her team were able to fulfil my requests.
I highly recommend them!
