We recently decided to revisit our Living Trust. Our first appointment with Commonwealth Life and Legacy was with Lelia, who made our visit very informative and friendly. She is a wealth of information and answered all of our questions patiently and clearly. We have since also had a meeting with Michael, who is also very knowledgeable and friendly. We were greeted promptly, warmly and everything was made clear beforehand what the meeting was about. I appreciated Lelia and Samantha’s warmth and genuine understanding of what was needed. My mom was treated with patience, kindness and caring in completing our documentation. Lelia took much time with us to assess my mom’s condition and how the law applies to her unique situation. Upon leaving, we were able to complete our paperwork and know with confidence that as mom’s attorney she will continue to provide legal counsel for her. Lelia and her team are a pleasure to work with. They are friendly, professional, knowledgeable and make sensitive and complicated topics easy to comprehend. The office is conveniently located in the village of Powhatan, and we were able to schedule appointments that worked well with our busy schedules. I read about Lelia in Powhatan paper and thought we would take advantage of the free consultation since we were dealing with a family member with Alzheimer’s. By the end of session I had hired Lelia and Michael to help us navigate all the issues that could/would be involved. What I appreciated most besides their knowledge and their ability to communicate in terms that I could understand, was their compassion. Not only did they handle all the legalities, but we had them draw up wills, POA’s, medical derivatives, etc., for ourselves. Lelia and Michael, also made suggestions and gave us names of contacts that would help the family in other situations, going so far as to contact them on our behalf. Angela their office guru is the nicest person you will ever have the pleasure of encountering. To say I was super impressed by Lelia and Michael is an understatement. Lelia and Michael highly complement each other in their expertise and I would highly recommend them for their knowledge and compassion.
