I had the pleasure of working with Ford King an he was AWESOME! He is not about the games, communicates very well, doesn't BS you and does what he needs to, even if it may not be an outcome that you want. He helped me with an eviction case and handled things beautifully against a shady landlord. I highly recommend CLS! (They also helped me with a divorce.)

They're very quick to say that there is nothing you can do, at least in my situations. I reached out twice to help someone for support. FYI Colorado Legal Services, if an eviction ruling is made, you CAN file a motion to stay. I almost missed this because of being told there is nothing that we could do after the ruling is made. Luckily a whole lot of digging on the Internet helped and I was able to initiate proceeding to resolve the issue.

Person who answered the phone was unwilling to hear about my situation and cut me off several times. They didn’t understand the law for guardianship and how Colorado Law actually works for guardianship. They seemed lazy and they were very rude. I wouldn’t recommend even contact them. It’s a waste of time.

Discrimination to the point of harassing me in the parking lot. This location of CLS is here to hurt not help. Try calling and its hold all day to just be hung up on. I finally get there in person and its worse. Don't take public funds if you are just going to discriminate against people and threaten the very people you falsely claim to help.

Colorado Legal Services: Failing Those in Need
I am deeply disappointed and disheartened by my experience with Colorado Legal Services (CLS). As a low-income individual facing severe tenant
harassment and landlord negligence, I turned to CLS for help, only to be met with a disheartening refusal.
Despite explaining the ongoing health hazards, the property management's blatant disregard for my safety, and the emotional distress I've endured, CLS informed me that they are only handling eviction cases due to limited resources. This leaves vulnerable tenants like myself without crucial legal support in dire situations.
CLS's refusal to assist has had a significant impact on my ability to seek justice and protect my rights. I am now forced to navigate a complex legal landscape alone, facing an unresponsive landlord and a perpetrator who continues to harass me with no consequences.
This experience has left me feeling abandoned and disillusioned with the very organization that claims to advocate for those in need. I urge CLS to reconsider their priorities and allocate resources to address the urgent needs of tenants facing harassment and unsafe living conditions.
Until then, I cannot recommend Colorado Legal Services to anyone seeking assistance with landlord-tenant disputes. They have failed to uphold their mission of providing access to justice for all, leaving vulnerable individuals like myself to fend for ourselves in dire situations.

If they ever pick up or return calls, the lawyers are absolute trash. They rarely represent anyone but if they do they pick certain classes of people to care about. Waste of time and tax payer money.

My experience here was good. Went for help for my unemployment appeal, but they really don't have an attorney to help with thismatter. They just recently got an attorney to take on these types of cases, but never heard anything back from them... But overall it was a good experience, good people there were extremely nice and the guy that helped me he was also very nice and helped me as much as he could.
