Sad. They need to inform gpd to first investigate fully before just writing a summons without evidence and telling the person to take all their evidence to the judge. That is not how it works in America! You have to prove our guilt, we should not have to prove our innocence. It is time for a new city attorney. The current one has been here to long. Through alot of past lying cops who have been accused of lying in municipal court. The prosecuting attorneys, without even looking at the case, will offer plea deals and $50 -$100 fines. Unfortunately many people take the plea deal, because they have a job and family to support and do not have time to take it to jury trial. More times than not this is just a profit to the municipality. I know for a Fact that they wait until 2 weeks before jury trial to even look to see if they even have a case and evidence to try the case before a jury. I was offered plea deal after plea deal for over a year. The judge actually refused me my 6th amendment right to council when facing jail time. Greeley colorado municipality needs to straighten out this municipal issue that involves the city pd, city attorneys office, prosecuting attorneys, municipal court Judge etc. So that they are upholding every citizens Constitutional rights and civil protections under the law. 3 plea deals and over a year of my life was spent on waiting for the prosecuting attorneys to finally look at the bs case against me. I was the victim and I was the person who called 911. The lying corrupt officer is no longer employed by the police department for she was already accused of lying by a former municipal court Judge, and I have proof of all of this. Time for new blood in our city municipality. Just my opinion.
