Mr. J.D. Beard was appointed to represent me in a matter that was legal abuse by my mother. This is a very traumatic situation for me, as she has a lifelong history of extreme physical, mental, emotional, psychological, reactive, medical, and legal abuse. I also have a brain injury and recently suffered severe head trauma when.my husband tried to kill me. Both of these situations make various disability accomodations necessary. As a matter-of-fact, they are already in place and were approved by the director of OAR, while my mother's legal abuse is pending.

In my first phone call with Mr. Beard after I explained the extent of the issues related to.my injury and that a court reporter would be needed as I forget what I'm saying while I'm saying it, I forget who I'm talking to while I'm on hold, and even sometimes forget what I'm watching during commercial breaks, he voiced concerns regarding competency issues and my ability to defend myself.

Between the time we talked and my status hearing, my mother again abused me and engaged in reactive abuse, as well as attempting further legal abuse. Thankfully, OAR responded appropriately and I was kept safe. However, I had also emailed Mr. Beard while the situation was ongoing with 911 in the subject and asking him for help, though I never got a response.

I had also emailed him regarding disability accomodations and matters related to my case and to familiarize him with the background, and gotten absolutely no acknowledgement or response, all of which caused me significant mental and emotional distress and escalated my concerns.

The day of my status hearing, I arrived early so we had time to talk. I had also emailed him a few notes on things we needed to discuss, asking him to please allow sufficient time to cover them, prior to my appearing.

He was walking by and failed to slow down.or acknowledge me in any way, other than to say "I have court," and he continued into the courthouse.

Considering on our brief call the day prior he refused to accommodate my disability by communicating in writing simply saying he didn't do that, and somehow thinks his personal and professional preferences trump federal law and my rights which are afforded to me by the federal Americans With Disabilities Act, and now can't even discuss my case. Acknowledge or respond to any of my emails or phone calls, and his other clients needs take precedent over anything involving my case, I felt any hope or possibility of a successful working relationship wno longer salvagable and sent him an e.ail informing him of this and relieving him of his professional obligations.

I went inside to discuss the situation with the duties to find out how to proceed in court, now that I no.longer had an attorney and needed to communicate the situation with the court. Mr. Beard had exited the courtroom and was in the lobby and was entirely aware of the situation at hand. The deputy had me wait outside, which I was more than happy to do.

After a short while Mr. Beard exited the building and approached me, having represented me knowing I did not want him to, and deliberately deprived me of my right and ability to not only be present at the procedure, but to make my serious concerns regarding his egregious transgressions and professional misconduct made aware to the court.

He got a continuance due to my "fever." I never had a fever, cold, flu, likewise and there was absolutely no good faith reason to have believed or indicated such.

I corrected him and reminded him it was related to my brain injury.

He mentioned a competency matte in relation to my brain injury he had voiced such strong concerns about, to which he responded "the same one that affects your thinking." ...my brain injury in *no* way impacts or affects my thinking.

So, Mr. Beard has violated my federal rights, discriminated against me, obstructed proper court procedure, and committed outrageous acts of professional misconduct in my case.

...yes. I'll be seeking new counsel.
