The Virginia Farmers Workers Program is an invaluable asset to the agricultural community, they are raise awareness of their rights and concerns, the program helps amplify their voices and push for a meaningful change within the agricultural sector. The farmers workers who work tirelessly to put food on our tables can access resources and ensures that all feel valued and respected, as a volunteer with the Virginia Farmers Workers Program, my experience has been incredible rewarding and eye opening. As a law student it has challenged me to step outside of my confort zone and inspired me to continue advocating for the rights and well being of farmworkers in our community. Thanks to Ninel for the invitation and her great work and effort to help all these people.

Legal aid in Cville has become a joke. They don’t do anything for the public anymore unless you meet their “criteria” which they will not disclose. My friend who is under the poverty level and with children was turned away.
